PLANO, Texas — Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK), whose PowerLean program combines the strategies of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance and Energy Management, has selected SigmaFlow’s Best Practice Execution System for portfolio project management and implementation of PowerLean’s best practice templates.

Rockwell Automation’s PowerLean program is the result of years of implementing continuous improvement programs internally and for customers. PowerLean delivers significant client results by reducing manufacturing lead times, cycle times, and reduction in work-in-process inventory.

SigmaFlowRockwell Automation selected SigmaFlow because it is the only solution with a web-based executive information system that synchronizes with a desktop-based project template workflow system. The combined solution ensures standards, consistency and productivity by integrating template workflow, document management, project management, and Lean Six Sigma diagnostic tools. Tools include Lean Benchmarking, Value Stream Mapping, process simulation, FMEA and Control Plans, to name a few.

“SigmaFlow’s Best Practice Execution System is the ideal solution for major productivity initiatives like PowerLean,” said Anthony Sparks, Director of Rockwell Automation’s Power Lean Program. “The solution allows us to create and deploy best practice templates to ensure that our projects and processes are generating the highest ROI for our customers. SigmaFlow’s unique web and desktop solution also gives our executives timely project status visibility without burdening our practitioners with redundant data entry.”

Jay Holstine, CEO of SigmaFlow, said: “Rockwell Automation’s PowerLean initiative is a proven repeatable methodology that delivers first-class results. We look forward to partnering with Rockwell to ensure the maximum value to the end customer. This is a perfect marriage; Rockwell Automation’s Power Lean is a compelling strategy and SigmaFlow is their smart system.”
