BALTIMORE, Md. — The Inn at Peralynna Manor of Rose Hill in Columbia, MD, was recently named the number one Inn in North America by Arrington’s Inn Traveler Magazine – a magazine for the sophisticated bed and breakfast and country Inn traveler. This honor has been bestowed not once, but twice, and local media recognized the accomplishment in a recent article that appeared in the Baltimore Sun.

Additionally, in 2004, Arrington’s Inn Traveler Magazine voted them “Best Inn in the U.S.”; and in 2003, they received the “Best Lodging in Howard County, MD” from Hotels.com.

The house is the dream of owner, Cynthia Lynn. She lived in a home similar to it in Europe and along with her husband and their son, Brandon, designed the Inn with its image in mind.

Inn at Peralynna ManorBrandon built the home in 1996 and it now stands as a local landmark, overlooking the rolling hills of nearby farms. From the soaring four-story great room to the serenity of the new dream spa suites and villas, this boutique-style Inn offers something special for everyone.

Recently renovated, the Inn now offers 19 luxury-style rooms and over 20,000 square feet of space. It is conveniently located between Washington D.C., Annapolis and Baltimore and is approximately 10 minutes from the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

“Most people are drawn to the house because it’s new, yet possesses an old-world charm,” Lynn said.

Guests may enjoy the open-air porch, have breakfast in the atrium, play a game of pool, or enjoy a glass of wine in the garden.

Accommodations are thoughtfully designed and ADA-compliant suites are available; all rooms have Tempur-Pedic mattresses and each suite is personally designed. Fine Italian linens, marble floors and counters, crystal-light fittings, oriental floor rugs, steam showers, whirlpools, plasma televisions, cozy fireplaces and espresso makers grace all rooms.

Featured on HGTV, the Travel Channel and a travel show for U.S. Airways, the Inn is currently managed by Brandon Kemplin and his wife, Kyra, who works as the Events Coordinator.
