Service Oriented Architecture Approach Drives Business Agility and Flexibility

STILLWATER, Okla. — HostBridge Technology today announced its acceptance to the IBM SOA Specialty after successfully completing IBM’s rigorous SOA technical and business requirements. With this achievement HostBridge integrates with the IBM software and strategy for SOA.

“SOA is an increasingly important business requirement for organizations because of the business flexibility it enables,” said Sandy Carter, Vice President of IBM SOA and WebSphere. “HostBridge Technology commitment to SOA provides their customers with a powerful way to reduce integration costs while rapidly deploying operational SOA applications.”

HostBridgeHostBridge is mainframe-based software that allows you to integrate mainframe CICS applications with any type of distributed application. Fast, easy installation provides immediate access to your CICS resources as XML documents or web services in an SOA. HostBridge has the unique ability to allow developers to integrate legacy CICS applications using field names rather than row/column coordinates. With HostBridge, there is no screen scraping and no change to existing applications.

“We are thrilled to be aligned with IBM and the IBM SOA Specialty program,” said Russ Teubner, CEO, HostBridge Technology. “The steady adoption of web services and the rapid rise of IBM as a leader in SOA have made it a requirement to allow existing CICS applications to participate in the new integration models. Organizations no longer have time to migrate without risking the loss of their competitive advantage to other organizations that simply integrate and move on.”
