SecuGen FIPS Fingerprint Reader Listed on AC Technology GSA Schedule

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — SecuGen Corporation is pleased to announce that it has chosen AC Technology, Inc. as its primary GSA holder for the SecuGen Hamster(TM) IV and SecuDesktop(R) Pro line of FIPS 201 certified fingerprint scanners and software. The two companies have been working together on several biometric projects within the Department of Defense. The move to place SecuGen’s FIPS 201 certified fingerprint scanners and software on the GSA Schedule was made to provide Government buyers with easy access to SecuGen’s biometric products. More models will be added as they are approved by the General Services Administration.

The Hamster IV is a rugged and durable fingerprint reader that has passed the stringent, FBI-run FIPS 201/PIV certification. SecuDesktop Pro is a workstation, logon security, software application that utilizes SecuGen’s NIST MINEX compliant template extraction and matching algorithms.
