mXpo 2009 Mortgage Industry-Sponsored Virtual Trade Show Contributes to ‘Homes for Our Troops’ Housing Non-Profit

AVENTURA, Fla. — mXpo.net 2009 Virtual Mortgage Trade Show, the mortgage industry-sponsored virtual trade show, conference, job fair and educational content platform, hosting its flagship industry-wide event on October 7 – 8, has partnered with Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit 501(c) 3 organization with the mission of building specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. $1 Donation per attendee aids home construction for injured Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

MXPO 2009Homes for Our Troops builds homes at no cost to the veteran through donations from thousands of individuals, foundation grants, corporate sponsors, professional trades people and generous support from countless volunteers. Homes for Our Troops is listed in the American Institute of Philanthropy’s top rated Veterans & Military Charities with an A rating. It has received a Four Star Rating from Charity Navigator. Homes for Our Troops is a member of the National Association of Home Builders and the U.S. Green Building Council.

“mXpo.net was conceived as an event that would unify the multi-faceted mortgage industry in a robust virtual venue offering new marketing tools, convenience and costs well below traditional trade shows,” said mXpo.net event manager Camilla Dominguez. “We’ve made a commitment to Homes For Our Troops as a gesture of gratitude to our selfless veterans and the great nation on whose behalf they have sacrificed.”

The mXpo.net/Home for Our Troops partnership includes high-profile multi-media exposure related to the virtual summit and expo for mortgage professionals, and a $1 donation for every registered attendee.

Homes for Our Troops has completed 40 specially adapted homes since its inception in 2004. It has 30 homes in various stages of construction. It takes about six months to complete a home once ground has been broken to the presentation of the keys to the veteran. The average cost of each home is about $275,000.
