Ca. Gov. Schwarzenegger Appoints Two to Ventura County Superior Court
SACRAMENTO /California Newswire/ — Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointments of Roger L. Lund and William Brennan Lynch to judgeships in the Ventura County Superior Court. Lund, 40, of Camarillo, has served as a court commissioner for the Ventura County Superior Court since 2008. He was a principal and officer for the American Law Center from 2004 to 2008 and an associate then principal at the Law Offices of Gose, Lechman and Lund from 1995 to 2008.
Lund earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University. He fills the vacancy created by SB 56 on July 1, 2008. Lund is a Republican.
Lynch, 54, of Santa Barbara, has been a research attorney for the Santa Barbara County Superior Court since 2009. Prior to that, he was a sole practitioner from 2005 to 2009. Lynch worked for Archbald and Spray as an associate from 1981 to 1985 and senior associate then partner from 1988 to 2005. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1985 to 1988.
Lynch earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ken Riley. Lynch is a Republican.
The compensation for each position is $178,789.
