The top technical society for the motion imaging industry, SMPTE is holding its event at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. The DAX booth #435 is conveniently located near the reception area in the exhibition hall, and is showing demos of its cloud-based platform.

DAX’s patented core technology, Digital Dailies(R), along with its inventor and company co-founder Josh C. Kline, have been honored by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with a Primetime Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development. The presentation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd at the Loews Hollywood Hotel.

DAX also sponsored the Hollywood Post Alliance’s luncheon on Monday, October 21, organized by HPA’s Women in Post and SMPTE. The event presented a conversation about “Women In Technology” led by WB’s Sr VP Technology Wendy Aylsworth, along with prominent tech executives Poppy Crum and Jacki Morie. DAX’s VP Sales Jennifer Goldstein Barnes, Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Account Development, and VP of Client Services Alexandra Pia attended.

Digital Dailies(R), a core component of the DAX media management and workflow platform, is a widely-used broadcast industry tool. The prestigious Primetime Emmy Award for Digital Dailies(R) comes on the heels of DAX winning the StudioDaily Prime Award at the 2013 NAB in April, and TV shows using Digital Dailies(R) and DAX racked up 53 nominations and 9 wins at the 2013 Primetime Emmys(R).
