Hamster Pro 20 is a small, high quality fingerprint reader that is priced attractively for both small and large deployments.

Won Lee, SecuGen’s CEO said, “Once again SecuGen has leapfrogged the competition. The Hamster Pro 20 provides our partners with a cost/benefit equation that is competitive with anything on the market today. We relentlessly pursue the creation of the tools our partners need to create the high quality fingerprint systems that are being required by the Federal Government. The Hamster Pro 20 is a perfect example of this focus.”

SecuGen’s fingerprint readers, including the Hamster Pro 20, work with SecuGen’s broad line of Software Developer Kits (SDKs). These SDKs use SecuGen’s NIST MINEX certified template extraction and template matching algorithms. The SecuGen FDx SDK Pro for Windows currently supports the Hamster Pro 20, and over the next few weeks, support for the new fingerprint reader will be added to SecuGen’s SDKs for Linux and Android.

The U.S. Government and governments around the world use SecuGen fingerprint readers and SDKs. SecuGen is well known for manufacturing and supplying fingerprint readers that capture very high quality images, are very rugged, and are affordable even for tight budgets.

“We are excited about our new product, the Hamster Pro 20,” said Dan Riley, VP of engineering for SecuGen. “Our team has been able to hit all the quality metrics that we targeted and have done so while keeping the cost of this reader surprisingly low. The early feedback from our partners is amazing!”
