ROCHESTER, N.Y. — This holiday season Children Awaiting Parents is offering several alternative gift ideas. Instead of sending the traditional fruitcake to clients and friends this year, consider a gift that will help Lift the Wait for children that wait in foster care for a family to adopt them. “A gift in support of finding families for children in foster care is an wonderful way to share holiday spirit,” said Mark Soule, Executive Director of Children Awaiting Parents (www.capbook.org). “The holidays are the ideal time to focus on the importance of family in all of our lives.”

Gift opportunities include a $50.00, $250.00 and $500.00 donation which will sponsor a child for one month, six months and one year, respectively. The gift recipient will receive one magnet, one cookbook and a letter of acknowledgement.
