eNewsChannels COLUMN: The UN’s International Mother Earth Day, in solidarity with Earth Day, following January’s Snowdance Phenomena that saved Western ski areas from the “driest winter in 130 years,” helped inspire billions of Green Acts in April. This is paving the way for more phenomenal progress at RIO+20 on June 20-22.

2012 could have been catastrophic for U.S. ski areas but for these Snowdances led by Native American Elders united with the Vail, Park City and Tahoe’s communities. Coverage by AP, the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, helped many more experience that Mother Earth is a sensitive, compassionate being, which was officially recognized by the UN’s 192 countries in 2009 through its International Mother Earth Day on April 22.

Since world scientists expect more droughts, the UN encouraged our Native American Olympic Team Foundation to spread this snowdance phenomena story to inspire communities worldwide to wake up as it did me, to dedicate ourselves to living in more harmony with Nature, including through tribal outreaches this pivotal 2012.

With the help of U.S. SnowSports Industry’s President, David Ingimie connecting us to ski leaders globally, resorts across the U.S., Canada, South America, Austria, New Zealand, Russia and China, were glad to share their spiritual and practical snow secrets for the greater good. We also learned that a snowdance saved the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics, along with Utah and Vancouver’s, yet Sochi Russia won’t likely need one.

The consensus of the UN’s “Harmony with Nature” Interactive Live Global Dialogue Webcast in April was: Science united with Ancient Wisdom is key to regenerating Mother Earth. Therefore our 50 year partnership between the Native American tribes and ski areas, as well as those internationally, have turned out to be a model for June’s pivotal RIO+20 Earth Summit.

Together with May’s U.S. Golden Eagle Eco Award winners, Maine’s Mount Abrams, Washington’s Steven’s Pass and Aspen – all tribal connected – we are presenting the best solutions of the SnowSports World, along with the Elders’ recommendations for RIO+20 to consider. And with the grace of God they will prioritize them along with a timetable since what they do or don’t do at this June 20-22 Earth Summit will affect the longevity of snow sports give our planet is transitioning to a warmer climate. But we each have the power to enhance the moisture and snow climate of our communities by planting fruit trees, which as you will see are FREE in the U.S. and Canada, along with planting assistance!

See why the Elders say it is more important than ever to take a moment to thank Mother Earth for the snow blessings, since snow melt is critical for our water, food and fire prevention. Plus for lovingly nurturing us for eons, despite horrific mistakes we have made here at Earth School.

This year the tribes say Mother Earth is uniquely cleaning house, so it is critical to boldly act NOW. Bless the tribal Elders, shaman, mystics, and as you will see, ingenious youth and billions of you, especially on Mother Earth’s Day, for helping transform 2012, “this Mother of All Years,” into a radiant new era.

While our documentary will air soon on U.S. and world TV, thanks to glowing feedback by ski area owners like Ellen Purcell of Portillo Chile, on our pictorial script and research, we are making it available in print via PDF.

Together multi-culturally, we are joyfully snowdancing in a New Dawn for Mother Earth!

The documentary starts with a 30 second YouTube documentation of Vail’s snowdance phenomena on 1/7/12 and powder skiing on 1/8/12.

The Ute Indian Tribe Perform A Snow Dance in Vail Colorado:

Since world scientists expect more droughts, the UN encouraged our Native American Olympic Team Foundation to share this phenomena with communities worldwide to wake up and inspire them to live in more harmony with Nature.

In spreading the story we learned some of the practical and spiritual secrets that resorts across the U.S., Canada, South America, Europe, Arctic Circle, New Zealand, Russia and China, are using to help inspire abundant snow and regenerate Mother Earth, which they were glad to share. In North America we learned that the snowdances also saved the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics, in addition to Utah and Vancouver, but Russia will likely not need one.

See why it is more important than ever to give our Earth Mother a moment of thanks for compassionately restoring snow to so many resorts this season and for lovingly nurturing us for eons, despite horrific mistakes we have made here at Earth School.

This year the tribes say Mother Earth is uniquely cleaning house, so it is critical to boldly act. Bless the tribal Elders, shaman, mystics, and as you will see, billions of you, for helping transform 2012, “the Mother of All Years,” into a radiant new era. That is why this research, along with other Elders’ Recommendations requested by the UN, is critical to be able to streamline getting consensus and implementation timetables at RIO+20.

The “Snowdance Phenomena” documentary will air soon in the U.S. and world.

A special thanks to so many of you for being great “Earth Mothers,” as my (wonderful earth) dad used to honor me on Mother’s Day! Here’s a tribute to all Mothers and Mother Earth, embodied in this video of the Mother Trees of the forest: http://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=2764 .

eNewsChannels COLUMN: Hail to the National Football League (NFL) for compassionately hosting “Super Bowl Parties with a Purpose” this year through their “Taste of the NFL” and “Kick Hunger Challenge” to valiantly assist food banks in every NFL city.

Given this outpouring of care for the hungry, what if this Super Bowl energy and the example of our First Ladies Roosevelt, Obama and Lady Bird, helped bring to light simple, holistic short and long term solutions that address the roots of 50 million Americans going hungry, starting this spring? Wouldn’t that be a victory for all Americans? And with 400 million children worldwide hungry, how might we create a victory for our Human Race?

PHOTO CAPTION: Three First Ladies, Lady Bird Johnson, Rosalyn Carter and Betty Ford with Rep Bella Abzug and Olympians Donna deVarona and Suzy Chaffee in 1977, celebrating the progress of women through the torch relay from NY’s Seneca Falls to “Women’s International Year” at Houston. Along the way women enjoyed the aromatherapy of Lady Bird’s ”Keep America Beautiful” wild flowers, which restored vast food-producing acres from erosion! (Seneca Falls was birthplace of the Suffragettes first adopted by Seneca Clan mothers. Our women’s progress has resulted in happier families worldwide.)
Coaching some of the 49ers and Bengals at a fun ski race at Vail after their Super Bowl, I also found the team spirit and big hearts of these football heroes contagious! The amazing love energy particularly at February’s Super Bowl reminded me of carrying the relay torch into the Houston Astrodome with First Ladies Lady Bird, Carter, and Ford in 1977 for Women’s International Year, which united and celebrated U.S. Women. Sports is the great unifier.

The U.S. Women’s progress, as well as the Men’s Super Bowls were both won by extraordinary teamwork, strategy, heart and follow-through. What if these yin-yang forces came together this pivotal 2012 to greatly reduce hunger for all our children? And what if all the resources we needed cost virtually nothing and were right next to us? Thanks to having the World’s Greatest Coach, these simple solutions became crystal clear by caring enough to ask some basic questions.

GENISIS ON GOD’S FIRST COMMAND: PLANT FRUIT TREES

Through Olivia Ellis PhD, my gifted Cherokee guide, who is a Master Gardener and Garden Guide at President Jefferson’s Monticello Gardens, I learned that in the book of Genesis, God’s first command was, “Plant fruit trees.” Yet along the way much of humanity forgot. Today 15 million children per year worldwide, 40,000 a day, have been dying of hunger or related diseases, according to WomenAid. In the U.S. alone, 17 million children suffer from hunger and malnutrition!

God’s command got real for me after then asking Dr. Ellis, “where was the original Garden of Eden anyway?” I was amazed to learn that “the Garden of Eden lives on along the mountain ranges of Iraq, Iran, Armenia and Syria.” Then realizing that when I skied down Iran’s Mt Dizin with Queen Farah Diba Pahlavi and Olympian Billy Kidd (Abenaki) in 1977, I was actually snowdancing in the Garden of Eden! OMG, I thought, and then found myself planting many fruit trees. No wonder the Hopi Indians, whose ceremonies help them grow corn in the desert, have also wisely advised us to be self sustainable, especially around 2012.

RESOURCES RIGHT NEXT DOOR

What was even more astounding was learning from Dr. Ellis that the following life-saving resources in the U.S., Canada, and perhaps many countries, have been readily available to solve this travesty to innocent children, especially in our Super Power country. “Every county in the U.S., as well as province in Southern Canada, has Master Gardeners happy to give seeds from their gardens, along with the knowhow to help anyone grow nutritious plants, in neighborhoods, schools and roof gardens,” said this huge-hearted doctor.

THOUSANDS OF JR. MASTER GARDENERS

The Master Gardeners also brilliantly mentor young people. There are now thousands of Junior Master Gardeners (JMG) helping turn U.S. schools and communities into gardens to feed everyone, as well as inspire us with their beauty.

I was also shocked and delighted to learn that the U.S. State Forestry Departments also donate young native trees, including fruit trees, to groups of Jr. Master Gardeners and 4-H Clubs working on projects to prevent erosion around their homes, schools, churches or any green space. Adults can also buy seedlings (little trees) for just a dollar in most states.

100 FREE PLUM TREES

“Our Jr. Master Gardeners Program submitted an application to the Forest Service and received 100 FREE native organic plum trees plus native persimmons to plant around our school in Afton, Virginia. While waiting for the trees to bear fruit, students enjoy learning to make plum jams and jellies,” said Dr. Ellis.

In the U.S. and Canada you can find Master Gardeners in your area by Googling your county or province’s “demonstration” and “children’s gardens.” State and Provincial Master Gardener Coordinators can be found on http://www.extension.org/pages/9925/state-and-provincial-master-gardener-coordinators The American Horticulture Society’s Map of the Master Gardiners is on: http://www.ahs.org/master_gardeners/

SCHOOLS THAT ROCK!

Since everyone, especially kids learn best when they are having fun, CommonVision.org’s “Fruit Tree Tour” takes the cake. A busload of green-thumbed youth drive to schools, fueled by vegetable oil and a rock band, and help the students and teachers create orchards with the FREE trees they bring. Plus plants also love great music! The Fruit Tree Tour only happens in California, but anyone could quarterback a program like this in the U.S. and world to get their children’s schools rockin. http://commonvision.org/harvestrhythm/harvestrhythm.php?categories=Fruit%20Tree%20Tour and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zBIgQiv8I4&utm_source=Harvest+Rhythm&utm_campaign=7d5ab98324-Fruit_Tree_Tour_2012_Fundraising_Email_89_1_3_2012&utm_medium=email

PLANT A FRUIT TREE ON UN’S INTENATIONAL MOTHER EARTH DAY

Crystal Booth, a young San Franciscan volunteering on our fruit tree school project in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, suggested “kids could plant fruit trees in community parks and schools across America and the world in this fun way.” Rock stars might like to help get the party (and seedlings) started!

What better way to celebrate and reconnect with Madre Tierra than planting fruit trees on UN’s International Mother Earth Day April 22 – the same day as Earth Day – or any ideal planting time. The day was initiated by the Indigenous Bolivians two years ago to celebrate Her as a wise, loving compassionate being. Your wonderful Master Gardeners and JMG kids will be thrilled to assist.

A fun basic training tool to enhance kids’ green thumbs prior to planting is a game based on the curriculum of the JMG program for grades 3-5, but everyone can learn something. Just click on any of the pictures on the game board and you’re off on a gardening adventure and play as an individual or on a team.

http://easttexasgardening.tamu.edu/JMGElectronic/introduction.html.

(Note: Your computer may get a message saying the program may have harmful content which is the browser’s security program at work, but it is not harmful, so say “yes” to continue, and enjoy!)

INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH

Thanks to the International Junior Master Gardener program through the AgriLife Extension at Texas A&M University, partnered with Nobel Peace Prize winner, Norman Borlaug’s Institute, JMG also has programs in Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, South Korea, Ukraine, Italy, England, South Africa, Iraq and Afghanistan.

JMG has magnanimously reached a million youth in the U.S. and worldwide. They have curriculums available in many languages, including Spanish, with games and trainers available as they are planning programs in Panama, Ecuador, Mexico and Australia.

Having lived in Aspen I learned about the challenges of high altitude farming, yet it is there that I saw the first school gardens. Since then the Seeds Trust has made hardy seeds and knowhow easily available: http://www.seedstrust.com/joomla/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=296&Itemid=2

Many countries may also have little known resources available that Google or a few phone calls may identify. Yet I learned by word of mouth in Mexico about the Northern Italian public schools, which have organic gardens and serve only organic foods. They set the standard worldwide for mainstream! With so many countries close to bankruptcy, what a wise way to save billions in healthcare and develop higher IQ’s, as pesticides harm the brain, to solve our world eco crisis.

HIGHER MATH & SCIENCE SCORES

The JMG program “engages children in novel, ‘hands-on’ group and individual learning experiences that promote a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment and cultivate the mind.” JMG kids consume more fruits and vegetables and exhibit higher science and math scores while enhancing life skills such as leadership, giving back, and intuition, thanks to being in Nature, which makes one more psychologically balanced. Therefore student organic gardens can prepare them for the two million jobs needed by U.S. technology companies (www.jmgkids.us). For gardening programs and activities see Texas A&M’s “Just for Kids” site.

U.S. BOTANIC GARDEN

The U.S. Botanic Garden with its 4,000 plants on the National Mall belongs to every citizen. Knowing that all life on this planet is dependent on plants, this institution has a resource template that makes applying for school grants very easy, along with fascinating activities with schools, so all U.S. students can have a wild time co-creating their own botanic garden.” http://www.usbg.gov/

WHY DIDN’T WE KNOW ABOUT THESE SOLUTIONS?

The problem in the US and Canada and perhaps other countries, is communication. These humble Master Gardeners have been so busy volunteering their time and recycling seeds to fulfill their missions to nurture their community’s (greatly increasing) hungry, that they were not aware that the masses haven’t known that these incredible resources exist. Yet most knew about First Lady Bird Johnson’s brilliant “Keep America Beautiful” wildflower campaign that restored vast agricultural lands, thanks to press and public service announcements and similar coverage of this solution could save lives. While many countries may not have seed, tree, or training programs, there are likely wise relatives, Indigenous, and mainstream neighbors happy to guide or mentor kids.

Coincidentally, what restores the health of the malnourished is the same solution that MIT and Columbia Universities found is the key to ending obesity – fresh local produce, ideally organic. School gardens help ensure that kids of all income levels get at least one nutritious meal per day. Rachael Ray is assisting First Lady Michelle to create a generation of lean, clean, and vibrantly healthy youth through helping plant over 100 school gardens in the U.S.

ENDING DIABETES IN 30 DAYS!

Studies released in December by The Biggest Loser TV Show and and world-renowned naturopath, Dr. Gabriel Cousins, both corroborated MIT’s findings. Both found that groups of obese diabetics eating a diet of fresh raw organic fruits and veggies for 30 days, ENDED diabetes! (http://www.rawfor30days.com/RawFor30/12-2011-half-off-tv.html)

THE GIFT OF TREES IN MEXICO

Mexico’s beautiful innocent children are No. 1 in diabetes in the world, and their leading cause of death. In the adult division, the U.S leads, followed by Mexico. Because the Mexican Government doesn’t have a free tree program, these diabetes and malnutrition studies helped inspire Bob Price, the American founder of Puerto Vallarta’s dreamy Botanical Gardens, to generously offer to contribute six citrus, mango, guava, etc… trees per year for students to plant in PV’s 214 school yards to start gardening/nutrition programs!

HUNGER SOLUTIONS IN A MATTER OF MONTHS

In so doing Price is creating a Mexican model for replacing rampant malnutrition, obesity and diabetes with a vibrant Mexico. And planting fruit trees is the first step toward organic vegetable gardens, which could this spring, with the help of local angels, start nurturing Puerto Vallarta’s students in a matter of months. With every Mexican school planting this super nutritious combo, instead of tax payers wasting a half billion dollars on painful epidemics from ignoring God’s command, their country and any country, can create a healthy, happy generation of kids.

“Diabetes is becoming the largest cost for many health systems,” said Majid Ezzati, a professor of global environmental health at London’s Imperial College, so here is some more keys to thriving economies.

TASTE OF THE AMERICAS

Where can people buy nutritious seeds? Dr. Ellis said, “there are seed exchanges in the U.S. and worldwide (including via internet) of natural heirloom seeds that last forever. Each September, the Thomas Jefferson Foundation teams up with Southern Seed Exposure to offer taste tests and sell special heirloom seed collections especially for school gardens.”

Olivia also shared that “President Jefferson listened and learned from Native Americans who developed delicious varieties of corn, avocados, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, black beans, as well as cocoa beans for chocolate”.

Scientists agree that the origins of most of these beloved vegetables go back 7,000-10,000 B.C. in Latin America, thanks especially to the Aztecas of Mexico, Maya in Guatemala, and Incas in Peru. Native American Elders say some of the tribes brought these nutritious veggies with them when they migrated north to Turtle Island (USA), or through their extensive trade routes. Bless you indigenous people!

South American Tribes discovered 1,500 years ago a major solution, besides organic gardens, to the world malnutrition, diabetes and obesity epidemics. Stevia is a great tasting zero carb herbal sweetener, which the Asians have been growing and using in most processed foods and drinks to combat diabetes since the 70’s. It was finally approved by our FDA and the comparable of the E.U.

Just as the tribes freely shared all these delicious taste sensations with Jefferson and other botanists, the President shared them with a pure-hearted brotherhood of botanists worldwide.

American Indian were lauded at Aspen’s WorldWatch Conference for their foresight in preserving these organic seeds to protect future generations. Michigan State University, UC Davis, and Stanford are also leaders in agriculture, including some cross-pollination with the tribes.

FIRST LADY POWER

Therefore it is critical that we follow the wisdom of tribal Elders, the U.N., and First Lady Michelle, whose Children’s White House Garden uses only organic seeds and fertilizers. Former Director of Monticello’s Grounds and Gardens, Peter Hatch, assisted the First Lady in creating their organic garden, now a priceless role model for ending obesity, along with demonstrating to our youth how to “Move,” including beating Ellen at pushups on her Show.

First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt‘s organic Victory Garden on the White House grounds helped inspire 20 million organic Victory Gardens (pre Chemical Industry) that empowered Americans to be self sufficient, healthy, lean, clean, sharp and energized to win WWII! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victory_garden

Each First Lady has made critical contributions to our well being, especially of our children’s. Hopefully Michelle, our wise, compassionate, fittest First Lady in mind, body and spirit, can do wonders to help get the message out about these FREE organic resources available to all U.S. citizens. Our focus will give hope and warm the tummies and hearts of millions of children who could, come this spring’s planting season, be gifted by humanitarian heroes with the nutritional building blocks to be included in the new American Dream!

THE SCIENCE BEHIND ORGANICS

What convinced me to go organic 13 years ago was seeing the slides of Dr. Cousins at Telluride’s Awareness Festival. Through Kirlean Photography we saw how organic fruits and vegetables had bright shafts of energy emanating from them, called “life force,” Nature’s healing force, while pesticided produce looked like black blobs.

Because 80% of all processed foods are infused with genetically modified organisms (GMOs), which poison our bodies and water and alter our DNA, Popes John Paul and Dominic have told farmers to use natural seeds. The only way to be sure foods are GMO and pesticide-free is by eating organic.

DOMED YEAR ROUND GARDENS

If your school doesn’t have space for a garden outdoors, there are dome-shaped hydroponic seed kits for herb, bean, pea, pepper, lettuce and flower cultivators, proven fast-growing by NASA for $30. http://www.thefind.com/garden/browse-hydroponic-lettuce-seed

Another dome kit for students or families to grow lunches costs $20. Teachers could negotiate a major group discount for students and insist all the elements are organic. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001CATTEA/ref=asc_df_B001CATTEA1866736?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=nextagus0036379-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B001CATTEA

DC advisor Charles Stone shared the most realistic solution to year round fresh organics in schools… Kacper Postawski developed a 40 foot (magical) domed greenhouse that students could construct for $500 in raw materials as their school project, or a miniature one for $80. See video: http://www.biodomerevolution.com/

Since so much U.S. soil is depleted of nutrients from, Kacper wrote the book, “Biodynamic Farming Secrets.” It explains how to cooperate with Nature to turn ordinary food into superfood without pesticides or chemicals, as our ancestors did, which restores pulsating life to dead soil.

The View TV Show featured the versatile “Growums Garden Kits,” which can teach anyone how to easily grow and care for backyard or patio gardens for about $10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtikevtT1T0

KIDS CAN BE SUPER HEROES!

We could also quickly and easily educate this generation to be sharper Earth Caretakers in this world emergency by teachers and parents simply sharing the following amazing Youtube videos with your children. The first one, and possibly others are multi lingual, like “HOME,” “WATER: THE GREAT MYSTERY,” “DESTROYING PLANET EARTH – THE GREAT PACIFIC GARBAGE PATCH,” “THRIVE,” and fruit tree planting videos.

CLEAN WATER

Clean water is the key ingredient to growing nutritious food and healthy communities to solve hunger and malnutrition. Because of drinkable water shortages in many regions, we must stop contaminating water in the first place by shifting to all natural products, green wind and solar energy, green golf courses and electric cars ASAP. Austrian naturalist Johann Grander developed the most effective system to revitalize tap and other abused water close to the potent healing properties of the “original” water. (See above water video) Many European ski resorts use it in their snowmaking and enjoy abundant snow, flowery mountains, and thriving agriculture. Kitzbuhlers drink from their streams again and sports heroes go there to streamline rehab. http://usa.grander.biz/en/literature-films

Armed with this wisdom and fishing poles, instead of just fish, kids can be Super Heroes in helping to restore our Garden of Eden because loving parents listen. Here’s what our children are thinking, and how Canada’s Servin Suzuki helped wake up the UN, along with the Indigenous Bolivians and Native Americans to be so enlightened now, especially about Mother Earth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQmz6Rbpnu0&feature=related

In a CNN story, Raj Patel, author of “Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System,” says “the right to food should be a human right, but powerful corporate food distributors control too much of the world’s food supply to ensure a robust global food supply.” Yet our WWII Victory Gardens out produced commercial agriculture then.

Patricia Wolff, executive director of Meds & Food for Kids, thinks hunger can be conquered. “It just takes the will to do it.” So take full advantage of these precious life-saving resources, and if they are not yet available in your community or country, enlighten your leaders and command them to provide these resources as a human right!

“What a great idea if we all planted the fruits trees we love, my God, our world would never suffer hunger,” said Mari Torres of one of Puerto Vallarta’s First Families. “Our little grandkids get so excited and empowered planting and then sharing with us their fresh vegetables and fruits.”

In other parts of the world here is a glorious future that is evolving.

MOTHER RUSSIA’S WISDOM FROM NATURE

At the encouragement of the UN to bridge Indigenous cultures with mainstream through fun snowsports, to work together to end droughts through the miraculous snowdances that the Native American elders have graciously led to save US Ski resorts since 1960, I wanted to connect with the Indigenous Elders or shamen of the Slavic countries. Our North American Elders have helped save the Squaw Valley, Utah and Vancouver Olympics and Sochi is next. Snowmelt is even more critical for our drinking water, forests, and agriculture.

I learned from Dr. Ellis that Russia scientists are leaders in communicating with plants. Then gifted Sedona professor, Susie Brighton, told me about Anastasia, the Siberian phenomenon. Vladimir Megre’s Ringing Cedars books captured how this Nature woman has inspired Russians and 100 million around the world to co-create her dream of food security for Man and animal. She also helped inspire the eco-village movement of reconnecting with the wisdom and powers in Nature to bloom in Russia and worldwide. My Slavic Olympic mom Stevia first told me about Findhorn’s magical gardens in Scotland.

ANASTASIA

Born in 1969, Anastasia’s parents died when she was two, and she was lovingly raised by her grandfather and great grandfather, but mainly protected and fed by wild animals and plants in the pristine Taiga forest. She communicated telepathically with them, like many children and Indigenous Elders, and received her powers and wisdom of the universe through the trees, especially the Siberian cedars. The Pacific Northwest Tribes also honor cedar trees, and wise King Solomon built his temple to God out of the Cedars of Lebanon to open people up to “the great intelligence of God.” I am proud that the Russian side of my heritage helped unlock this deeper insight of God’s first tree command! http://ringingcedars.com/

Anastasia said that in the 1993 shift toward democracy people got back small family plots of land too small to cultivate with mechanized equipment. So these Russian farmers, called ‘Dachniks,’ reconnected with the Earth with joyous enthusiasm that rekindled their intuition and self worth. Now 35 million families, or 70% of the population, grow their own food mostly organically. President Yeltsin even confessed to spending his weekends tending his vegetable garden at his dacha (cabin) near a forested area – for improved mental and physical health.

Mother Earth is very sensitive. She feels each pair of hands on Her body, just as a tiny mosquito can affect a human. As millions of pairs of hands began lovingly touching Earth, She found new strength to carry on, said the Siberian mystic.

Russia’s top academic magazine, Chudesa i prikliuchenia (Wonders and Adventures) said, “In their boldest dreams our academics come nowhere near the insights of Anastasia, the wise woman of the Siberian taiga.” The key is purity of thought. Some of their schools are incorporating this wisdom of Nature with amazing results.

Since pesticides attack the brain and lower the IQ, these organic dachniks are restoring the brainpower of this generation of Russian children, along with other European countries.

The Italians consume nearly 70-80% organic daily – also for the great taste – and all the schools in Northern Italy have organic lunches. Italy helped pioneer WWOOF – Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farm. It is an international network linking people who want to work on organic farms where hosts who offer food, accommodations, and opportunities to learn about organic lifestyles.

Mother Russia and many European countries, Canada, and Licking, Missouri, have been celebrating “Dachnik Day,” honoring gardeners and our connectedness to Earth on July 23rd. Starting barefoot (for extra healing) at dawn they lovingly greet their sprouts and seedlings. After tending the gardens with guitar music and dancing, ending in family feasts where they express gratitude to each other and Mother Earth, these gardeners return to cities with baskets of flowers and joyfully share their bounty with everyone. Let’s join this blissful bandwagon in solidarity with our Russian friends and hosts of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

On July 23rd we could celebrate our American Gardeners, especially our Master Gardeners, JMG Kids and Tribes for heroicly showing us how to tenderly massage our Mother Earth and feed ALL our people. Opening our hearts as a team like this also heals and smoothes possible 2012’s earth changes so a catastrophe or drought doesn’t have to, say Elders.

U.N’s International Mother Earth Day could also include some of these fun “planting parties with a purpose” in an ever expanding exciting way to nurture all our children.

JOHNNY APPLESEED

“Johnny Appleseed is an early U.S. version of Anastasia,” said Dr. Ellis. “Born Johnny Chapman in 1774 at his family’s apple orchard in Massachusetts, this kind-hearted visionary planted apple trees along the rivers and streams from the East to the Wild West. Also barefoot and sleeping under the stars, he communicated and lived at one with animals and plants and was beloved by the children of Native Americans and settlers. His sweet heroic generosity lives on.” (Margaret Hodges’ True Tale of Johnny Appleseed)

VICTORY GARDENS!

Super Bowl 2012 MVP Eli Manning said on the Letterman Show that the key to their victory is loving their teammates and working as One. With this united team spirit 99% of our citizens can soon enjoy greater happiness.

To be a valuable player (VP) on this Dream Team, spread the word! See your football heroes cheering you on.

Joined with other great humanitarians, charities, and stars like Jeff Bridges, Oprah and Ellen, the vital energy of these food banks is critical as we hopefully shift toward creating abundant harvests for all Americans.

Special thanks to (NJ’s) Mt Creek Ski Area, the Ute Mt. Casino, SkiLogik (plants a tree for each pair of skis sold), and Mountain Riders Alliance for helping make possible our bringing these solutions to light. For more info or to support this awareness campaign, contact: snow-riders.org.

Whatever model works best for your community or country, the key is spreading the word and exploring. Simply using the free resources of the U.S. and Canada to plant organic orchards and gardens at our schools this spring could cost-effectively score a victory over hunger, diabetes and obesity in one fell swoop.

Here is also a chance for a priceless karmic touchdown for all those who lend a hand to relieve the short and long term hunger of millions of our teammates in this 2012 “Souper Bowl of Mother Earth,” along with those who lit the way.

By also shifting from nuclear to safe wind and solar energy to protect the health of our food supply for generations worldwide, and giving appreciation to our Earth Mother for all these gifts, we are planting the seeds for our children to create little Victory Gardens that add up to our restoring Eden. By following God’s first command, all Creator’s children can flourish.

Together Team Earth is bringing in the dawn of a radiant new era!

eNewsChannels COLUMN: The buzz at the SnowSports Industries Show ending January 31 in Denver was about the Native American snowdance phenomena that restored snow to the Ski Meccas of Colorado, Utah and California in January. They also said, “we need more snowdances.” Some Native Elders who led them say that our giving Mother Earth gratitude for these snowblessings, whether large of small, and including Her in our hearts, especially on Valentine’s Day, can do wonders to inspire more snowfalls.

Many ski resorts, such as Telluride, Aspen, Steamboat, Spirit Mt, Heavenly, have experienced how Mother Earth is even more generous than people when we give sincere appreciation. At their end of the season Gratitude Snowdances, their slush is usually replaced by wonderful powder snow. What brings credibility to all this phenomena is two years ago the U.N’s 192 member nations created International Mother Earth Day, April 22 (on Earth Day), recognizing Mother Earth as a living, loving, sensitive, wise compassionate being.

Tahoe and Mammoth received 4-5 feet, following Vail and Park City’s Snowdances that brought several feet of snow to their regions. CREDIT: Carolyn O’Connor / Sierra Sun.

For those who missed the many press stories in January about the Western snow phenomena, covered by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) to AP and the San Francisco Chronicle, here’s what happened. Vail, Park City, and Squaw Valley each called on a Higher Power through a Native American Ceremonies, said the WSJ’s Ben Cohen, which blanketed these ski areas hurting from their driest winter in decades. These prestigious mountain communities chose a Zero Carbon Footprint, Zero Cost, Nobel Prize winner-endorsed Native snowdance solution, which tribal Elders were glad to assist, thanks to the cooperative spirit created by inviting their tribal youth to ski and snowboard in their beloved ancestral mountains. See stories on Snow-riders.org.

Gratitude was a key part of Vail’s successful Snowdance through the words of Eddy and Betty Box Jr who led the ceremony with hundreds of Vail locals and visitors sincerely praying with them. Cohen reported how Vail Mountain’s Chief Operating officer, Chris Jarnot, following Eddy’s suggestion, skied to a special place in the back bowls, and made a tobacco offering facing the four directions. That is a powerful way to thank the Creator, Mother Earth, Nature spirits and Ute ancestral spirits in advance. Vail showed the world the snowdance worked by capturing powder skiing shots the next day on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daj-uorWRuk&feature=related

We learned the power of Valentine’s Day prayers in 2007 during Europe’s similar emergency when they were suffering from their “warmest winter in 1,250 years.” Thanks to a tip off from Bob Gough, whose Native (Wind) Energy had just won a “Clean Energy Oscar” in Switzerland, I asked the President of the World Council of Elders what we could do to help. He led a prayer to also please include Mother Earth in our hearts on Valentine’s Day Feb 14, which we circulated in the press and networks worldwide, such as EarthCharter USA’s 2,500 communities, China Millennium Council, TM and the Oneness University. It was combined with Shasta Elder Skywatcher’s gratitude snowdance on their sacred Mt Shasta, and their youth enjoying some blissful skiing and boarding.

Right after Valentine’s Day we got a report from Switzerland, “It’s snowing here. Please thank your tribes,” said French Princess Caroline Murat, European advisor of our Native American Olympic Team Foundation (NAOTF). She lives near Veysonnaz Ski Area which has a huge tipi atop their Swiss Alps. (The owner offered to be the training center for our Native American Olympic Hopefuls.) Following a group gratitude prayer two weeks later, Princess Murat said, “The resorts got much more snow and are so happy!”

Could we do the same for all of our U.S. ski areas or any ski areas needing snow (or any locale needing moisture) worldwide this Valentine’s Day? YES, say the Elders. “It could greatly purify our global mountain chains by including Mother Earth in this ocean of love energy that day,” said my gifted Cherokee advisor, Olivia Ellis, PHd. Just as Japan’s Dr Emoto proved that giving love and appreciation to water purifies it, it also purifies mountains.

Vail, Park City, and Squaw Valley chose a snow solution in harmony with Nature, over toxic cloud seeding that costs around a million dollars, or total reliance on snowmaking, which the biggest cost to ski areas and is mainly dirty energy that interferes with natural snow cycles.

They also had confidence in snowdances after a Southern Ute Snowdance miracle in 1963 saved their droughted opening years. This phenomenon also got Vail national attention on the CBS Huntley-Brinkly report. In 2001, Ski Utah and SLOC asked our foundation to orchestrate a snowdance to help end their drought so they could test their equipment the winter before their Games. The Utah Tribal leaders heroicly saved the day and their 2002 Olympics had ideal weather. Plus the Native American Opening helped give Utah’s Games the highest ratings in history.

FIRST KNOWN SNOWDANCE

Gratitude was also key to Tahoe ending their drought on January 15. At their Olympic Heritage Closing Ceremonies on KOLO TV, they honored the Reno Sparks Indian Colony of the Washoe, Paiute, Shoshone, for their snowdance that magnanimously restored snows to their 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics (and Tahoe resorts). One of those dancers was Patty Hicks, who in turn guided the Eagle Wings Dance group at the January event in their first cross-cultural snowdance in 50 years, following the first known one in history, which saved their Olympics.

“Every step was a prayer for our dancers, and I could feel that everyone there was sincere,” said Louis Kane, the troupe leader. “It was the most exciting meaningful dance I have ever done. At 11 that night, it snowed, which strengthened my belief in our traditions,” she said.

The good karma of Heavenly Valley hosting a Washoe ski program may also have helped, for within a week Tahoe was blessed with five feet of snow all the way to Mammoth, which pioneered including the Paiute and Miwok tribal youth in their $5/day student programs since the 50’s.

The key to consistent abundant snow is clean wind energy, such as at Jimny Peak (Ma), Grouse Mt (Canada) and many European countries, plus Mt. Abram’s (Maine) field of solar panels, combined with giving gratitude to Mother Earth, and tribal youth outreach. That is why U.N. Sustainability officer, Maria Mercedes Sanchez, encouraged NAOTF to spread this snowdance phenomena story worldwide, which is a profound wake up call to inspire more communities to live in harmony with Nature.

More storms hit Colorado in February after Ute Mt Ute Elder, Reggie Lopez, graciously offered and then led Telluride’s Gratitude Snowdance on January 28 for all Colorado’s snows. Telluride had the most without a snowdance thanks to their on-going Ute Mt Future Olympians Ski & Snowboard program they pioneered in 1996, (inspired by Taos), which snowballed across North America.

Said Lopez, “My Shoshone relatives in the Pacific Northwest also (quietly) lead Winter Round Dances or Moondances, often all night long, which give gratitude for moisture or snowmelt even more critical for drinking water, Nature, agriculture and fire prevention.” Added to the good karma of John Gifford, President of Ski Washington and Steven’s Pass donating 20 season’s passes to the Tulalips and Lummis, and Oregon’s Mt Hood also sharing their chairlifts for berry picking, they received up to 10 feet of snow in January.

The tribes of the Midwest and Eastern Iroquois have somewhat similar ceremonies. The difference between the Eastern and Western snow levels could be that the Eastern states have been slower to embrace Native ski programs and snowdances. Yet the Abenaki’s from my home state of Vermont have helped ski areas with snow a few times, also in appreciation for the Olympians at Cochran Hill hosting a ski program. In Maine, Sugarloaf’s Penobscot program is a model for sharing tickets, rentals and lessons for $20/day for tribal members, so kids get on-going skiing and ski areas still get the good snow karma.

To assist other dry regions and to reinforce the snow at the resorts that were blessed, we orchestrated 12 ski areas giving gratitude prayers in solidarity with Reggie’s Gratitude Snowdance. At around noon on the 28th, Elders and/or skiers anchored in prayers at Sun Valley, Wintergreen (VA), Sandia (NM), Mt. Baldy (CA), Mt. Abram (Maine), Mt Creek (NJ), Spirit Mt (Wisc), Cochran Hill, Vt, Squaw Valley, Sunlight, Steamboat, and Arizona Snowbowl. Some received their first snows right away, and others are getting snowblessings now.

We hope everyone will spread the word that Valentine’s Day is a huge opportunity to restore the snows and moisture across America, as we did for Europe. “Giving gratitude by prayer or a snowdance to Mother Earth on this high vibrational day will not only bring blessings to the ski areas, or wherever you want to send moisture, but also to the area on which you stand and pray,” said Dr. Ellis. And where two or more are gathered it is stronger.

For example, after I prayed on the phone from Mexico with Olivia during the solidarity ceremony, much of Mexico has since been blessed with its first moisture since November, including several inches of rare snow on their highest mountains!

“When you participate you can fully experience this phenomenon, especially if you give thanks to Mother Earth and Creator in advance, at the beginning of your prayer as the tribes do,” said Dr. Ellis.

THE U.N. YEAR OF COOPERATION

2012 is the UN’s Year of Cooperation! All these tribes and ski areas are shining models of how we can together better survive and thrive.

Eddy Box Jr continues his father’s snowdances at Vail because “We wanted to create more harmony between our cultures and Mother Earth,” which is similar to what the Mayans say is key to creating a smoother 2012. Our sensitive Mother Earth absorbs our negativity, which needs to be released. Our Valentine’s Day love can help transmute that negativity to diffuse earthquakes, volcano eruptions and tsunamis.

President Mandela used rugby at their 1994 World Championships to unite South Africans, powerfully depicted by Morgan Freeman (Cherokee) and Matt Damon in the film Invictus.

As head of Rocky Mt Forestry, Bjorn Dahl, 7th generation Norwegian forester and former GM of Kirkwood (Tahoe CA), said that these Native ski programs are the most harmonious bridge between our cultures he had ever seen.

Over the last 16 years thousands of tribal youth have had a chance to get leaner and cleaner, diabetes-free, and have Olympic Dreams through the friendships formed from all these Native ski and snowboard programs. They are the biggest motivator for our youth, to also get better educated for jobs, say tribal leaders and teachers. “Tribal members helped build many of the Western resorts,” said NSAA President Michael Berry. Yet today Native communities have a depressing 50% unemployment rate. Telluride, Beaver Creek and Mt Hood have also been leaders in tribal jobs – also good snow karma.

This outreach model could help prevent 2,000 tribes a year from going extinct worldwide, according to a UN study. Wanting to safeguard and strengthen the future of snowsports worldwide, since it takes a village, Ingimie connected us to ski industry leaders in other continents to encourage their resorts to invite their tribal Elders or shamen to lead these ceremonies and reach out to their tribal youth. Thirteen ski areas across Canada now have First Nations Snowboard programs, which inspired their Lil’wat and Squamish Elders’ ceremonies to help transform Whistler’s Olympic downhill cancellations from rain and fog into a “rare number of bluebird days.”

Thank you tribes for magnanimously leading these Snowdances that help the rest of our global family remember our magical earth honoring roots. The key is being pure-spirited, like the Mayflower people who saved themselves through raindances, which impressed their Wompanoag friends.

The late Nobel Prize winner, Stanford’s Stephen Schneider, said “Because large scale systems affect our complex weather, it is difficult to say which elements affect the precipitation outcome most, so one needs to work with all sides of the street. It would be foolish to dismiss anything that helps in this environmental crisis, especially if it costs almost nothing. I think it is wonderful that North American ski areas have been inviting tribal youth back to ski and snowboard, which inspires their Elders to lead these snowdances. And it would be wise to further explore and expand such cross-fertilization, exemplified by Aspen SkiCo, that unites good stewardship with Elders-led group prayers and snowdances. If it works, go for it!”

Special thanks to NJ’s Mt Creek Resort, Ute Mt Casino, Mountain Riders Alliance and SkiLogic, which donates a tree for every pair of their state-of-the-art skis sold and something for Native kids, for helping us continue this bridgework.

Our SNOW-RIDERS.ORG, recommended by NSAA, to make this historic bridge even easier, has maps with your closest U.S. tribes and ski areas with websites and contact info. The U.N. and SIA join us in encouraging ski areas, especially snow challenged ones, to invite their tribal youth to ski and snowboard, and we encourage tribal Elders to offer a Gratitude Snowdance. We are here to assist you in creating these phenomenal snowbridges anywhere worldwide.

Bless you for a joining with your loved ones to send tsunamis of love and appreciation around Mother Earth in a big hug to help inspire even more extraordinary blessings for your ski areas, mountain chains, and oceans on Tuesday, Valentine’s Day. A Valentine’s Snowdance would be even better! Please share any phenomena you may experience so we may further inspire others.

By also joyfully riding down Mother Earth’s magnificent mountains with gratitude in our hearts for all Her phenomenal gifts every day, we are heroicly Snowdancing into a new Era.

eNewsChannels COLUMN: On November 1, our Native American Olympic Team Foundation (NAOTF) submitted to the UN its recommendations, including wisdom of Indigenous Elders, for the 2012 Rio+20 Conference, June 21-22. This marks 20 years after the first UN Conference on Sustainable Development, and never in history has there been such a need to work in unity to restore Earth.

What gives humanity great hope is our new heart and mindset thanks to the Occupy World Movement, where the 99% are taking more active roles in protecting and sharing the planet’s precious resources. This follows the UN’s “International Mother Earth Day” where 192 Nation States now honor Mother Earth annually on April 22st, for being a living, loving, intelligent, compassionate being. It was initiated by the Indigenous Bolivians after losing in 2008 their 18,000 foot ski area and glacier, the water supply for 2 million people.

For this 2012 summit, the most respected environmental organizations on Earth just submitted their recommendations so that World leaders and citizens could digest their brilliant solutions. Then at RIO+20 they can agree, prioritize and start holistically preventing the projected massive die outs by creating a sustainable New Earth. Many solutions can be implemented now, as time is so precious.

NAOTF’s recommendations are particularly important to the Olympic Sports movement since the world’s mountain chains, with thousands of ski areas on them, are our main source of precipitation (along with the oceans), including the recent freaky weather. And the snowmelt is critical for all our playgrounds and life support systems.

Oprah’s attendance at an Aborigine Women’s ceremony on Australia’s sacred Mt Uluru on world TV was the first time many have been aware of the importance of participating in cross-cultural ceremonies and prayers together. Yet for years many enlightened ski communities in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and elsewhere, have been helping ensure that our beloved snowsports go on through tribal outreach. Disruption of electricity alone from these earth changes that the Mayans and other tribes prophesied, along with increased solar flares in 2012, which NASA warned about – why we need off-the-grid renewable energy – could affect the ability of our civilization to thrive, especially snowsports.

I honor the foresight of my fellow US Olympic Teammates who voted our foundation funding in 1999, realizing that the wisest way to help ensure that future generations can enjoy snowsports is through restoring our integrity with Nature. And what better way than through the tribal wisdom of our ancient ancestors, which the tribes are helping us remember.

Because scientists expect more droughts,(and wildfires that further heat our planet), UN’s Sustainability officer, Marie Mercedes Sanchez, encouraged NAOTF to share with communities around the world how the North American Ski Areas and Tribes have together miraculously ended droughts since 1963. The key is inviting tribal youth to enjoy skiing and snowboarding in their beloved ancestral mountains, which has inspired their Elders to lead Gratitude Snowdances. (See press documented miracles on http://snow-riders.org/mir.html .)

Sincere prayers and ceremonies lift the vibration of the mountains, as well as oceans, where no toxins exist, as Japan’s Dr. Emoto has demonstrated, and this purification rebalances Nature’s cycles. Six Nobel Prize winners agree with the gifted Elders and Earth healers, that rebalancing Nature cycles in practical and spiritual ways is crucial to smoothing out these Earth changes.

WORLD INDIGENOUS OUTREACH

Therefore, with the blessings and connections of David Ingimie, President of the SnowSports Industries of America, NAOTF is calling on ALL world ski communities to assist their ski areas in inviting a dozen nearby Indigenous youth for a day of joyful skiing and snowboarding. Plus requesting that an Indigenous Elder or shaman lead a Gratitude Snowdance, and graciously hosting their family. The ideal time for these modest gatherings of good-hearted people from both cultures is this December when ski areas also need ‘gentle snows’ the most, to lead into 2012. This is also a good time for ski areas downunder to thank Creator for the snow they have just received and gather good karma for next season. WWW.SNOW-RIDERS.ORG has maps, websites and contacts to the tribes and ski areas nearest you.

If the tribal youth fall in love with healthy skiing or boarding, which some of their ancestors invented with the Chinese-Mongolians 8-10,000 years ago (according to Mammoth’s 2009 World Ski Congress), we recommend adopting Telluride SkiCo’s Ute Mountain model, endorsed by President Ingimie. Ute students pay (a super affordable) $15./day and chaperones $30.; the ski school donates a few lessons; and a couple of ski shops share donating the rentals as their part of still inspiring snowblessings.

Ski communities could follow New Zealand’s lead. A promoter wants a group of our Native American Olympic Hopefuls, dancers and an Elder to enjoy skiing, boarding and sharing ceremonies with their Maoris and mainstream kids during their June 2012 Winter Festival. Seneca Iroquois Elder RobertJohn Knapp has offered to assist. With citizens from six European countries behind him, Knapp inspired Pope Benedict to declare in 2008 that “it a sin to poison the water.” We are also open to ski and ceremonial exchanges like we did with the 10-year-old King of Africa’s Uganda, (which has snowy mountains) and the Ute Tribe at Colorado’s Keystone Ski Area. For questions, contact suzynativevoices@aol.com

Trendsetting North American Ski areas, including Vail, Telluride, Aspen, Steamboat, Ski Sunlight, Park City’s 2002 Games, Mammoth, Taos, Heavenly Valley, Big Bear, Snow Valley, Snow Summit, Mt Shasta, Mt Ashland, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie, Alyeska, Cochran’s Hill (Vt), Sugarloaf, Whistler at Vancouver Olympics, Sun Peaks and 11 other Canadian Ski Areas, plus Gstaad (Switz), Kitzbuhl (Austria), Bariloche (Argentina), and Portillo (Chile) have learned priceless lessons from their tribal weather miracles about living in more harmony with Nature: How giving appreciation to Mother Earth for all She has given us, including the snow, plus healing the past and starting a new beginning with nearby tribes through these events and programs, inspires more snowblessings. Also key is switching to earth-honoring green products, organic food, and renewable energy, like Aspen and Jiminy Peak (MA), which are partially self-sufficient solar and wind energy heroes.

In 2007 we skiers learned that prayers can effectively be directed to assist other countries, when European Ski Areas were suffering “the warmest winter in 1,200 years.” NAOTF’s European advisor, French Princess Caroline Murat, reported how the snows finally came following a Hawaiian Elder’s-led prayer, on Feb 14th, Valentine’s Day, to include Mother Earth in our hearts. Participants included many from Earth Charter USA’s 2,500 communities, the ONEness Network, thanks to Oneness scientist Sperry Andrews, and the Pacific Rim thanks to the China Millennium Council.

We also learned from gifted Cherokee Earth healer, Olivia Ellis Phd, the power of praying on the amazing “19 Holy Mountains” on four Continents. “It is like having 3,000 friends praying with you,” she said. Uniting the powerful prayers of an Interfaith Gathering on Mt Baldy Ski Area, a Holy Mt near LA, with millions of Apache-led prayers, helped miraculously bring the rains and wind that stopped the fires across the street from Los Alamos Nuclear Lab.

Scientists have proven the power of prayers and a few have done successful experiments capturing and sending prayer energy. The most effective has been the late Sir George King, a British astrophysicist-mystic who founded the Aetherius Society. He became a household name in the Isles in the 60′s after inventing a way to store in batteries the high vibrational energy of groups chanting and praying on holy mountains, and later redirecting them toward preventing or reducing catastrophes. When the focused energy is released, firestorms, hurricanes, droughts, floods, and earthquakes are neutralized or transformed into life saving weather conditions; work they have been doing for five decades for world communities and Nature. Since it is hard to amass people on a holy mountain or even a prayer group or ceremony at a moment’s notice, King compassionately created this safety net for humanity in advance of extreme weather and earth changes, which we are especially witnessing at this time.

“The tribes call this ‘The Purification.’ Ultimately it’s not Mother Earth, but us who need to raise our vibration by green actions, healing deeds and appreciation–so She doesn’t have to by shaking us off Her back. Our Earth Mother will be purified one way or another, with or without us. The karmic bell that is tolling now tolls to let us know it is time for all hands to be on deck working together; the only other option is to walk the plank,” said Dr. Ellis.

Here’s an example of the beautiful energy at the Mt Baldy Pilgrimage; http://sites.google.com/site/worldpeacepilgrimage/ Locations of Holy Mts – near Aspen plus New Hampshire, Britain, Switzerland, France, Africa - and info to make safe pilgrimages on Aetherius.org.

Since not everyone has mountains, and we must together restore our dying oceans to survive and thrive, the UN also encouraged us to spread the importance of community participation in oceandances, led by Indigenous Elders or shamen. For example, I attended a joyful Azteca-led one in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on 11/11/11, a holy day that also multiplies prayers. Regular tribal ceremonies have helped keep ports like Puerto Vallarta, Paradise. Their waters are clear and the whales are jumpin!

A Mayan leader said this cross-cultural reuniting of our hearts with Mother Earth through ceremonies, is the key to reducing the 2012 earth changes. Why not open our hearts a little now instead of after catastrophes? Sir George King reinforced the Mayan message in saying that there is only one energy crisis on this planet, and it is a spiritual energy crisis.

Each culture has a special critical gift for humanity. The Indigenous Peoples have the closest connection with Mother Earth and track record of reviving and rebalancing Her, praised by UN members. With 2,000 tribes going extinct each year, according to the U.N., this outreach will help preserve them and their priceless wisdom that we need more than ever. Therefore we hope that many are inspired to read and act on NAOTF’s holistic recommendations for RIO+20, including why we need a nuclear-free world to together restore our only home. http://www.uncsd2012.org/rio20/index.php?page=view&type=510&nr=637&menu=20

YOUTH CARETAKERS

Since the youth are the future, we call on the world schools to share the following stunningly riveting youtube videos to save us all precious time helping create a generation of Earth Caretaking Geniuses:

A Child’s Appeal to the U.N.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KY9LaxVkDM

Plus the multi-lingual “HOME,” “Water: The Great Mystery”, the “UN’s 2011 International Year of Forests.” http://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=2387,

Austrian astrophysicist-shaman Johann Grander discovered a way to use the original water with its potent healing properties to purify tap water. Using it in the snowmaking machines of his country’s ski areas has resulted in more consistent snow and people can even drink out of his Kitzbuhl streams. His Grander Method, honored by the Russians, has amazing applications used worldwide, such as replacing chlorine in pools: http://usa.grander.biz/en/johann-grander.

Michael Berry, President of the National Ski Areas Association, has praised the Mountainriders Alliance (MRA), founded by Jamie Schectman, for helping create a new era of U.S. ski areas putting communities, green energy and integrity with Nature, including tribal ceremonies and programs, over profits. (mountainridersalliance.com) MRA just announced partnering with Skilogik, a green equipment pioneer. For every pair of their magnificent cutting edge skis sold, they plant a tree and donate $35 to give Native youth a chance to restore their health and have Olympic dreams. http://www.powdermag.com/latest-news/mountain-riders-alliance-skilogik-partner-on-custom-skis/

Other key videos are: Lester Brown’s “Planet’s Scarcest Resource Is Time”: http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_22858.cfm and THRIVE: What On Earth Will It Take? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OibqdwHyZxk

Here’s how school diets can transform violence and student bullies into harmonious Earth Caretakers, why First Lady Michelle’s Children’s Organic Garden at the White House is spreading to schools across the U.S., since it is also helps end obesity. http://www.wanttoknow.info/050520schooldietchange

NAOTF recommends Stevia, a no carb South American Tribal-discovered herbal sweetener, which has also been helping Asians stay lean and clean and lower diabetes and alcoholism, since alcohol is a toxic sugar. Fortunately, Stevia sweeteners and beverages have just been approved in the US and E.U..

Telluride’s 4th grade environmental class got to see Nature through the eyes of their Indigenous ancestors when a Park Ranger got sick and we helped them get a Cherokee historian to take the students on a hike. The kids were totally fascinated and wanted more. Inspired by their consistent snow, Aspen SkiCo wants to include Ute-led Nature hikes.

By world schools and ski areas including Native-led hikes, humanity could have a spiritual love affair with Nature, like most of the UN members and renowned authors who spoke on this year’s Live webcast part of International Mother Earth Day.

Here are the other priceless recommendations for RIO+20 by each country’s most effective environmental organizations: http://www.uncsd2012.org/rio20/index.php?menu=115

Special thanks to Mountain Creek Ski Resort (NJ) and Ute Mt Casino (CO) for helping make all this possible. And Thanksgiving blessings to all Mother Earth’s caretakers, especially Native Americans, whose Iroquois model of male-female balanced democracy is springing up worldwide.

The Elders and your children bless you for doing your part to create this dawn of a joyfully humming New Earth!

eNewsChannels COLUMN: I didn’t realize until our dear First Lady Betty Ford passed on this month, what an incomparable gift she has given Mother Earth and all Her children. Through Betty’s powerful example of taking her addiction to alcohol and (prescription) drugs out of the closet, educating the public, which diminished the stigma, and founding the Betty Ford Clinic, her gift goes way beyond helping transform the tortured lives of generations of Americans and World Citizens into fulfilling ones. Though sadly some, like pop star Amy Winehouse, could not be reached in time.

Since alcoholism and drug addiction is passed on generationally, Betty’s inspiring and helping moms to get clean too, starting back in the 70′s, was key to getting the whole family, and therefore World Family psychologically healthy to be better Earth Guardians. And three decades of families experiencing more serenity has helped create this Green Revolution.

Photo Caption: Though not realizing she helped liberate much of the U.S. and world from substance abuse, Betty befittingly danced on the table of the Cabinet on her last day as First Lady!
DADS BECOMING REMARKABLE NURTURERS

Dads also deeply affect their children, and in America, many of these happier dads have become remarkable nurturers while moms have jobs outside the home. And in general, families are becoming more balanced as more and more dads have become a bigger part of their children’s lives, to everyone’s delight.

Betty was the first First Lady or any First Family member of any country we know of to admit to having a substance abuse problem. She had the courage to shine a light on this taboo thanks to a loving supportive her husband, President Gerald Ford, and children, Jack, Steve and Susan, by her side. Her revelation also resulted in studies coming to light back then that “70% of U.S. college students are binge drinkers – our future leaders!” Given the price of drugs and sex, as we have just seen in the news, addicted politicians are especially vulnerable to lobbyists for payoffs and big campaign donations. And much of the Human Race has some kind of addiction challenges.

WHY WE ARE FACING “MASS EXTINCTIONS UNLESS WE ALL TAKE SWIFT ACTION” (CNN)

Seeing that amazing progress should give us confidence that we can make another critical leap since substance addiction is still rampant. And in June, there was an “Emergency Call to Action to Protect Earth by the UN, Pope, Scientists, Indigenous and Olympians.” http://billionaires.forbes.com/article/0a5dcYsfvv0Ns/quotes?q=

EVERYONE IS NEEDED TO RESTORE EARTH!

Everyone is needed to help restore our planet’s life support systems. As Earth Wisdomkeeper, Paul Hawkin, said in his 2009 epic graduation speech, “YOU ARE BRILLIANT, AND MOTHER EARTH IS HIRING!” That is why getting to the roots to prevent or heal addictions is critical, as it not only hurts the person, but his/her loved ones, co-workers, companies, fellow drivers, and populations they may represent. And billions of addicts add up to the main reason why Earth Guardianship is still not a big enough priority for humanity and we are facing “A mass extinction unlike anything human history has ever seen is coming unless we all take swift action.” (CNN-June)

RUSSIA ADDDRESSED ALCOHOLIC “CURSE”

Some countries are doing more than others to raise awareness or implement solutions. As President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, an avid skier, addressed his country’s alcoholic “Curse.” It may have been consciously or unconsciously to get more countrymen to care about restoring their toxified lands, especially after Chernobyl… Russian health leaders tried hypnosis, which worked on some, but found, like so many other countries worldwide, that the long-term group therapy of Alcoholics Anonymous’ (AA) 12 Step Program is surprisingly the most effective way to get clean and stay sober. http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(06)68015-X/fulltext

WHAT IS ADDICTION?

In the last decade, scientists found that there is a switch in the back of the brain that links our natural urge to survive with eating and drinking healthy fresh foods,(especially organic/pesticide-free), as well as exercising, and making a living. However, addictions from ingesting or sniffing – a huge epidemic among 12 yr olds – of a variety of toxins, alters our body’s chemistry and its miraculous self-healing mechanisms. Regular use or enough overdoses of the toxin overrides or short circuits our brain switch, and instead links our survival instinct to getting more of that (toxic) fix – a drink, drug, glue, sex, cigarette, sugary or diet soda.

Addiction to one toxin is often combined with others, such as having a cigarette with a drink or drug, and unconsciously craving toxic products and fast foods, such as a McDonald’s (nutrition-free) “Happy Meal” with dozens of toxic chemicals in the meat and buns that don’t break down for decades. Just as damaging, these addictions also include a self-fulfilling negative, controlling, pessimistic outlook on life that brings everyone down.

Therefore, the constant craving to get high from pills, shots, sniffing, or alcohol/”spirits,” plus finding the money to pay for it, takes priority over all else, which doesn’t leave much time to serve the greater good. Like trying to drive when high, a fuzzy mind also takes longer to do all the other real survival tasks of keeping everyone in the family fed, clothed, sheltered, and happy.

MAKING HOMES SAFE HAVENS

Making your home a safe haven from toxins can greatly raise your chances of creating lean and clean bright kids. CNN’s Sanjay Gupte said on his “Toxic America” series that cracking windows and buying houseplants can filter 80% of the toxins hidden in so many household products, like synthetic detergents. But shifting to all natural products and foods, like Europe has, can do the most to purify homes to naturally attract children to healthy lifestyles.

The Betty Ford Center near Palm Springs is renowned for its high success rates because Betty genuinely cared about making other people’s lives better. Her rehab program, like others, continues to help people further explore, download and heal psychological wounds, including with their families, which caused them to want to escape reality though substance abuse. Because most addicts are nutritionally starved, her center offers healthy uplifting habits and food to enhance making wiser choices. The Dalai Lama said, “The key to life is having good habits.”

Everyone has childhood hurts that we as sovereign beings are responsible for healing, since God gave us great minds, hearts, intuition and discernment. Betty’s state of the art clinic, like most, includes the spirituality of the 12 Step Programs of AA and Narcotics Anonymous (NA). Teen Challenge is a faith based drug recovery program that has also transformed lives around the world. AA and its sister Alanon, a group-support for the families of alcoholics, continue to give on-going critical support to anyone for free.

Since my mom’s father, Anthony Korzun, was an abusive alcoholic, though he died before I was born, my brothers and I attended some Alanon meetings to get educated, knowing that these addictions affect offspring genetically. I wanted to find out why I found myself engaged to two magnificent men who turned out to be alcoholics even though I don’t drink. I prefer medicinals from Nature, the taste of fresh organic juices, sparkling cider and sparkling minds.

SPIRITS!

The spiritual side of AA was inspired by Switzerland’s Carl Jung who remarked that “‘alcohol’ in Latin is ‘spiritus,’ and you use the same word for the highest religious experience, as well as for the most depraving poison.” http://www.sober.org/CarlJung.html

Jung explained that we all have an urge to get high, which is our “urge to merge with Creator.” And if we do not have the opportunity to get high naturally through sports, dance, or some kind of physical activity we love, including gardening, we may consciously or unconsciously seek an artificial high in a bottle of spirits or pills.

For eons, Indigenous peoples have run or kicked balls for days or climbed mountains while on a fast to get high, not unlike Jesus’ wanderings in the desert to help connect with the Great Spirit to get visions for guidance. Jung realized this innate spiritual yearning, which is why AA gets amazing results through helping addicts connect with their “Higher Powers.” Giving gratitude to their Higher Power/God/Creator/Allah for that divine help is also key.

FIVE KEYS TO BEING PSYCHOLOGICALLY HEALTHY

Jung’s other major mindshift, which made him the “Father of Modern Psychology,” happened while traveling to India, Africa and America around the turn of the last century looking for a model of a healthy psychological person. While living with a Pueblo Indian family in New Mexico, he found the healthy prototype he was seeking. Jung’s “Man and His Dreams” video, which I saw at Colorado’s Telluride Library, described how he discovered the five keys to being psychologically healthy through these down-to-earth original Americans who have doggedly protected their sacred dances and traditions. Through them he realized the importance of balance, harmony and intuition, and he went on to caution modern humans against relying too heavily on science and logic, and not enough on spiritual activities that take us beyond material goals.

By living according to their more gratifying traditional ways, Jung said that one could see joy written on the faces of the Pueblo people, despite all they had been through. Here are those psychological elements he learned, which MUST be incorporated into all schools if we want to create healthy happy generations:
1. Daily Physical Education classes taught by credentialed PE teachers: So kids can get high naturally through a variety of sports, dances, and activities that develop social and leadership skills, good sportsmanship and intuition.
2. Walks or hikes in Nature,(especially led by Native guides to see Nature through their eyes), to heal and replenish our batteries and develop intuition. Plus Organic gardening.
3. Art Classes: Expressing who we are though some kind of artistic activity.
4. Teachers and family leaders sharing with children that to feel wonderful we need to find and give back our unique gift for the greater good of all, be Guardians of Nature, and find ways to serve others regularly.
5. And the importance of giving gratitude for all the gifts we have received, including from Creator, Mother Earth and the Sun.

Therefore, as I instinctively said while serving on four Presidents Councils on Fitness and Sport, starting with Nixon and Ford, that we must better educate the public to understand the importance of PE. That sports for girls and boys are not just fun, they are the key to our physical health and full potential, which the Greeks knew. Having also led the DC March for Title 1X – Equal opportunity for women in school sport and education – I said we need to urge schools to expand their PE Budgets to have daily PE. Now we know that cutting PE in a crunch is not a sane option. And thanks to Jung we also know the same is true for the Arts.

THE GOOD NEWS is there is a solution to ensure that there are plenty of on-going funds for real human needs, including safe renewable energy, health care, agriculture, housing, and education, especially PE and the Arts for substance abuse prevention. This is the moment to INSIST our representatives reallocate billions of nuclear funds for these dire community needs as they finalize our Debt Ceiling Budget Negotiations, by supporting the “Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Economic and Energy Conversion Act – HR 1334.” Just click or cut and paste here: http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5372/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=6172

Jung witnessed that tribal people who grow up in traditional ways have a potent spirituality where miracles happen. They seek a balance of body, mind and spirit (like Olympians)- though it has been very challenging these last 150 years. They hold God higher than money, power and possessions, and maintain a spiritual connection to Nature, as St Francis did.

AA helps access some of that potency through humbly calling on one’s “Higher Powers,” where everyone receives the guidance needed to also problem solve all the challenges that we are facing in these Earth changing times. The wise ones say that getting rid of addictions is key to raising our vibrations to have the highest outcome no matter what happens.

Betty showed a sizable percentage of Americans and humanity how they can be happier, responsible Earth Citizens, while buying us all a little more time to restore Earth’s life support systems. Therefore, her legacy is immeasurable.

Hail also to the tribes, Carl Jung, AA and other group supports and rehab centers everywhere for their critical roles in raising generations of happier, more responsible Earth Guardians.

Native Americans, like most Indigenous peoples, have less enzymes to process sugar. Therefore, it is befitting that Betty’s wake up call, in turn, is helping more people understand, including the tribes, how to help heal one of the world’s greatest challenges, alcohol, a sugar. Especially since our tribes are now surrounded by people having the highest sugar diet in the world, when there are healthy herbal sweetener alternatives used by many countries that do not raise blood sugar. For example, the South American tribes discovered the sweet leaves of the Stevia plant that the Spanish then spread. Whereas regular consumption of high levels of processed sugar cane, beats, and corn syrups, hidden in most American processed foods, especially in most sodas, raises and imbalances our blood sugar and make children especially vulnerable to alcoholism, obesity and diabetes.

Natural sugars like honey, maple syrup and unbleached sugars still have some mineral nutrients and don’t raise and drop our blood sugar levels as much, but they also have 4 grams of sugar per teaspoon, and 15 grams a day is the recommended healthy limit. So it was a shock when the Rachel Ray Show revealed this year that most Americans have been consuming 168 grams of sugar a day!

All this gives extra meaning to another blessing following Betty’s coming clean. The U.S. Government stopped the practice in some regions of paying tribal men with bottles of alcohol/sugar, and started paying them with money for family food and uplifting community activities, such as training expenses for one of our Native American Olympic Hopefuls.

As part of making amends to heal Canada’s abusive boarding school history with their First Nations, similar to our Native Americans, their government wisely spends millions a year on Native sports opportunities, including developing future Olympians in snowboarding, hockey… This has been effective in preventing their similar depression, substance abuse and suicide epidemics by lifting their self esteem, teamwork, job opportunities and joy. For example, their Gwich’in First Nations XC Olympic twins, Shirley and Sharon Firth, pricelessly inspire and teach kids in their Northwest Territories to ski.

Supporting tribal sport opportunities – government or private – would be good collective karma for any country as we approach 2012, to also help prevent “2,000 tribes a year going extinct,” reported the U.N..

While America’s Indian Health Services has some AA programs and tribes have some PE and sports programs, it is sadly inadequate to heal our history since abuses, including alcoholism, are passed on generationally. Therefore, more support for sports would be a godsend to finally seriously address this missing link – the psychological health part of alcohol prevention. It would especially lift their spirits by giving a handful of our struggling Native American Champions a real chance to realize their dreams of competing in the 2012 London and 2014 Russian Olympics, including in many of the sports their ancestors helped invent. (More on NAOTF.org)

That would be a beautiful way to show appreciation for their tribal gifts to America and humanity, which First Lady Betty helped us remember. To prevent mass extinctions, the UN is now listening to and following the wise strategies of Indigenous Peoples, particularly the Bolivian mission and Native Americans. See http://billionaires.forbes.com/article/0a5dcYsfvv0Ns/quotes?q=

Thanks to the delightful experience of skiing twice with President Ford in Vail in 1975 and 76, while prepping the Amateur Sports Act, I was Betty’s guest at their family quarters at the White House with David Kennerly, their Pulitzer Prize winning photographer who was kind of a son to them. I found her to be a warm, elegant, sharp, witty compassionate Liberator! David shared some touching moments on Betty’s slightly mischievous liberating side, which led to her dancing on the table of the Cabinet on her last day as First Lady, befitting of one whom we now realize is an Earth hero! http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/07/12/betty-ford-gilded-cage-meet-free-spirit/

I knew very little about alcohol back then, or the full significance of all her contributions, and only with her passing did I connect ALL these dots, and wish I could have thanked her. Though we know from her magnificent eulogies (on YouTube), she would have said, “A Higher power was responsible for the Betty Ford Center, I am merely an instrument to be used to carry out His plan.” For more of her wisdom, “Betty Ford – Healing and Hope,” is available on Amazon.com

History will remember this First Lady for having the heart of a Lioness in facing her demons and helping America and the World face theirs, bringing more joy to everyone as we spiral upwards into more aware, spiritual Earth Citizens.

In Betty’s honor, I hope that all those worldwide who have benefited by her gift, or who also connected the dots, will continue her work with your priceless gifts to streamline our transformation into a bright New Era where Compassion is Totally in Fashion. That will surely make Mother Earth and Betty smile!

eNewsChannels COLUMN: More Prayers Needed for Oceans, Reactors, Floods and 32 US Fires. “A smattering of summer rain boosted firefighters battling the massive forest fire near Los Alamos nuclear reactor.” Other News sources said the blaze came 50 ft from the Laboratory that stores America’s largest supply of nuclear weapons, along with 30,000 drums of plutonium-contaminated waste stored above ground under fabric tarps, not far from mini fires breaking out within the complex. (Catching fire would have released a plume of deadly fallout.) 12,000 residents, many in tears, were allowed to return home for the first time in nearly a week, “honking their horns and waving to firefighters.” (Source http://www.npr.org/2011/07/04/137595342/los-alamos-evacuation-order-lifted-12-000-return?ft=1&f=1001 .)

World Prayers, including on June 25th, atop Mt Baldy (Ski Resort near LA), a powerfully energized Holy Mountain, brought the rains that saved Los Alamos.
THE POWER OF GRATITUDE

It was a miracle! Bless all those who prayed, and the rains and winds for cooperating – the winds changed direction. Many worldwide also gave thanks to God/Creator/Allah and Mother Earth for answering their prayers for those gentle rains and breezes that helped firemen avert an unfathomable disaster at Los Alamos that would have harmed our whole Earth Family. The nearby Pueblo tribes also gave thanks for the protection of their sacred sites, archaeological treasures, and watersheds.

People also blessed the rains that fell in Arizona, as well as Texas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana and New Mexico, many responding to the urgent prayer request on June 25, led by Dorothea Stevens of the San Carlos Apache Nation from the Native Brothers and Sisters in the Southwest. They had also invited everyone to unite in prayer with the tribes for the winds and heavenly rains (without lightning please) to protect ALL the people, the plants, animals and firefighters of Arizona and other states. “Pray with us in however way you talk to the Creator,” Stevens said.

Through our foundation’s Native ski and snowboard Programs, North American mountain communities learned that Mother Earth, like people, is even more generous with precipitation – both snow and rain, when we give thanks for them. Plus when we do good deeds, especially healing ones. The ski areas inviting Native youth to enjoy skiing and snowboarding on their beloved ancestral lands, inspired tribal Elders to lead snowdances that have ended snow droughts in North America since Vail asked the Utes to please save them 1963. (Source: http://snow-riders.org/mir.html .)

Native Elders have led raindances for eons, some together with church leaders, that have saved many communities from fires, including Durango and Denver, and I witnessed a Lakota ceremony that aired live on the Dodge radio, which saved the Kansas farmers from an extended drought in 1996. The tribes follow up with prayers or ceremonies, like the Native Elders-led Gratitude Snowdances, hosted by ski areas like Aspen and Telluride, usually result in more snowblessings.

MANY, MANY MORE PRAYERS NEEDED

While so many wildfires have been extinguished by the blessed rains, winds, and firefighters, many, many more prayers are dearly needed to assist all the people and Nature of the Southwest, South, California, Alaska, and everywhere worldwide still on fire or recovering. Here’s map of the 32 “Current Large Fires in America.” (Source http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/lg_fire2.php .)

The droughts in Texas, Oklahoma, and NM that led to these record fires, and other regions are horrific. The New Times reported on July 11 that “the heat and the drought are so bad in this southwest corner of Georgia that hogs can barely eat. Corn, a lucrative crop with a notorious thirst, is burning up in fields. Cotton plants are too weak to punch through soil so dry it might as well be pavement. Farmers with the money and equipment to irrigate are running wells dry in the unseasonably early and particularly brutal national drought that some say could rival the Dust Bowl days.”

The African drought is worse. Millions of families are losing children every day as their families wander for days looking for a camp that might have food or water.

“They all need prayers to balance nature’s building blocks,” say Indigenous Elders and others who pray daily. Los Alamos showed us how prayers by huge numbers of participants, especially on “Holy Mountains,” which we brought to light in our June 25th story, can greatly minimize fires, nuclear threats, and floods happening in America and worldwide. Since wildfires are heating our planet, polluting our oceans and air, and destroying the trees that convert Co2 into our oxygen supply – now dangerously low – daily prayers by our whole Earth Family could phenomenally help ensure that all our children survive and joyfully thrive.

eNewsChannels COLUMN: CNN revealed on June 22, that “A mass extinction unlike anything human history has ever seen is coming unless we take swift action,” reported the International Programme on the State of the Ocean (IPSO). The cause is a combination of stressors: Radiation and lethally reacting pollutants, acidification, overfishing, and low oxygen from warming oceans, oil spills and plastic garbage killing the plankton that normally produces more oxygen than the rainforests.

Prayers by anyone, anytime, but especially on these 19 Holy Mountains, can further greatly help revive the oceans, including transmuting the radiation from Fukushima to protect humanity and Nature. It can also help minimize a nuclear threat now happening in America. Nebraska’s Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant just suffered a “catastrophic loss of cooling” after being deluged with flood waters from the Missouri River, with another nuclear plant downstream, which feeds into the Mississippi and the Gulf. This is not being reported by mainstream press.

The American Indian Tribes, led by Lakota Chief Arvol Lookinghorse, have united in praying for the rains to put out the wildfires of Arizona for all the people and Nature, and they invite everyone to join them.

Over the past four decades, many thousands of people of all religions have flocked to the 19 Holy Mountains worldwide to streamline healing Mother Earth and humanity. So spectacular has been the power of people sending pure love from these mountains that ordinary pilgrims and sightseers have had mystical experiences and witnessed powerful rays of pure white light in the area.

There are Holy Mountains in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Australia and NZ. (listed below) In North America, one of the holy mountains is Castle Peak, near Aspen, another Mt. Tallac overlooking Lake Tahoe, Mt. Adams in New Hampshire, and the fourth, Mt Baldy in Southern California’s San Gabriel Mountain Range.

Given these world crises, this June 25, or any time soon, would be an opportune moment to make a pilgrimage to a Holy Mt near you. Mayan Chief Don Alejandro said these kinds of cross-cultural ceremonies that reconnect us to the heart of Mother Earth are key to a smoother 2012. Especially when combined with right action. (See Addenda)

Our encouraging these world pilgrimages to Mt Baldy and other Holy Mountains, complimented the purpose of the Aetherius Society bringing together people of all faiths and backgrounds to join upon a Holy Mountain to cooperate for World Peace. They believe “the changes/challenges that we are seeing around the world are a result of humanity’s karma, as well as the great change of the Mother Earth Herself where she is raising Her vibrations. And prayers can lessen the trauma or intensity of the surface changes so we can better harmonize with the great ‘shift’ that is happening, including increased seismic activity worldwide, especially in the Pacific’s ‘Ring of Fire.’” See their inspiring video: http://sites.google.com/site/worldpeacepilgrimage/ .

HOW TO JOIN A PILGRIMAGE

Mt Baldy, one of the most powerful Holy Mountains, is about 50 minutes east of Los Angeles near Route 66 (210 freeway). Pilgrims in Southern California are meeting at 9 a.m. at the parking lot of Mt Baldy Ski Resort. (ski lift ride is about $12.) The Aetherius Society holds smaller Pilgrimages 4 or 5 times per year where they offer carpooling from their Headquarters on 6202 Afton Place, Hollywood, 3 blocks south of Sunset Blvd, and one block east of Vine. Tel. (323) 465-9652 More info on group pilgrimages, books, tapes…on many Continents on www.aetherius.org .

OPRAH SPOTLIGHTS AUSTRALIA’S “SACRED SITE”

Oprah shared a heart expanding moment on her Australian TV show visiting renowned mystical Ayers Rock/Uluru. “It wasn’t by accident that Oprah attended a ceremony with Aborigine women as they had important work to do there on Uluru,” said Olivia Ellis, a gifted Cherokee Earth healer and wisdomkeeper. For many years she was a student of the late British Astrophysicist-mystic Sir George King, founder of the Aetherius Society.

Researchers in 11 countries and Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry, Swiss Kurt Wuthrich, in the YouTube video, “Water: The Great Mystery,” have also put science behind this spirituality. They verified Japanese Dr. Masaru Emoto’s tests how sincere words and feelings like love and appreciation in prayers and tribal ceremonies can purify mountains and oceans…of toxins, by raising the vibration of water or mountains where toxins do not exist, which restores their natural precipitation cycles.

Thank heaven Olivia also told me about the 19 holy mountains throughout the world that were spiritually energized, almost like batteries, in such a way that the “prayers by everyone on them with a heart full of compassion, are magnified thousands of times over, and can literally alter the course of history.”

“Some ‘sacred mountains,’ such as Mt. Shasta, contain energy that can only be utilized by a small number of advanced souls,” said Dr. Ellis, “but these 19 Holy Mountains are easily accessible to all of us, no matter what level of spiritual development. All it takes is a selfless prayer. Anyone of any age and culture can walk upon these 19 powerfully energized mountains and send out prayers that will uplift, heal, and bring peace and healing to every living soul on Mother Earth, and to Mother Earth, Herself.”

“MOTHER EARTH IS A LIVING ENTITY”

Hail to U.N.’s 192 nation states for their landmark interactive dialogue on “harmony with nature” that discussed how we are all interrelated, and that Mother Earth is a living entity, and explored giving Her the same rights as humans, inspired by the recent laws of Ecuador and Indigenous Bolivia.

URGENT REQUEST IN UNITY

Any safe spot you are drawn to on these mountains is a good place to pray on behalf of others. Go to one and pray for the people of Japan, pray for our oceans and air, and join with the tribes in praying so the winds stop and heavenly walls of rain (without lightning please) protects all the people, the plants, animals and firefighters of Arizona and anywhere else, and we pray that all radioactivity be transmuted now. See this happening and joyfully thank Creator in advance. In blessed unity, especially on these holy mountains, everything is possible, as these tragedies are reminding us that we are one family.

THE LAWS OF KARMA

We also pray for all the people who have pushed for or allowed a nuclear reactor(s) to be built in their state or country. I learned through this research that according to the laws of karma, of cause and effect, that they will experience the horrifying results of living near Chernobyl or Fukushima, as the wise ones say ignorance and distractions are no excuse as we were given minds, intuition and discernment. Karma is like a bank account and we have free choice to make good and bad deposits. Another reason I’m doing my part!

Therefore these mountains would also be a perfect place to join with family, friends, groups, including schools, in celebrating Mother Earth’s Heart and all of Her gifts, since these mountains have been revered for eons by Indigenous people who lived near them. And when two or more are gathered, prayers are much stronger. Indigenous Peoples know instinctively to send out great love and appreciation to these magnificent mountains who provide life-giving waters and spiritual energy.

LIVING ON MOUNT BALDY

“My husband Steve and I lived for years at Mt. Baldy’s 6,000 foot level where our cabin looked into the forests on one side and out onto the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island on the other side. We were fortunate to have the Mt. Baldy Zen Center as our neighbor reminding us to be aware of every breath we took. Each morning at 4 a.m. we would be softly awakened by their prayers, the chanting filtering through the sacred grove of trees between our houses. Like the tribes, they know the importance of praying before and during dawn, and how praying at noon and sunset also intensifies prayers,” said Ellis.

“Many people drive up to the ski lift on their way to the top to pray. Edna Spencer, in her 80s, hiked there every week, driving out from Los Angeles on her one day off work. Those unable to go to the top remain in a grove at the top of the lift along a ridge that looks out over the Los Angeles Basin. Great waves of healing pour out to the millions living below that ledge and out to the sea, as do all the Holy Mountains,” said Dr. Ellis.

ENDING THE 7 YEAR DROUGHT

Across the valley from Mt. Baldy are the San Bernardino Mountains, which are joined by an energy link. In 2004, the Big Bear Lake community hosted a Journey of the Heart Gathering to try an ancient alternative to costly toxic cloud seeding, in hopes of ending their devastating seven-year drought that had reduced their lake to a pond. The forests were dying and wildfires were rampant. So they invited Indigenous healers from around the globe, including the Bushmen of the Kalahari.

Judy Gray, producer of the LA Ski Dazzle Show told me on the phone as I was heading to their 2004 Show how their local ski areas were enjoying record snows, business was booming, and the KTLA weatherman thanked the tribes for the “best snow in 50 years.” So I said, “Why don’t we give skiers and boarders at the Show a chance to honor some of the folks who made it happen. She loved the idea and about a dozen of the 200 Red, White, Black and Yellow participants, mainly women, came, took a bow, and shared their miraculous Big Bear Medicine Wheel experience, including Gina Weis, the Big Bear Lake Community organizer. Akima Castineda, a spiritual leader of the coastal Chumash tribe led a Gratitude Snowdance ceremony with his fellow magnificent dancers, which mesmerized many, including my friend/X rival, Nancy Greene, Canadian Olympic legend turned member of Parliament and World Freestyle Champion, Bob Salerno.

That Snowdance Celebration exuded such sincere joyous appreciation that we saw on the Weather Channel the next day it was snowing across the whole West, where the tribes just did snowdances at the major Ski Shows, while being honored as “Colorado, Washington and California’s First Caretakers.” Our Native American Olympic Team Foundation dreamed up this First Caretakers Tour with Bernie Weitschel and his Colorado SnowSports Expo, with organic NUTIVA as a sponsor, thanks to Gary Petersen, Governor Schwarzenegger environmental advisor. More delighted ski areas in all three states were inspired to invite nearby tribal youth to ski and board, especially at Big Bear Lake, where the song, “All I need is a miracle” was coincidentally playing on Snow Summits’ PA system as our group of Native kids arrived to be treated like homecoming heroes. But first they sang and drummed a Snow Gratitude song.

Ellis emphasized that “Mt. Baldy had served as a powerful trigger point for all the sacred sites of this Big Bear Medicine Wheel. Every one of the following Holy Mountains can help you trigger those kinds of gifts and healings for our oceans, Mother Earth, and all who live upon Her.”

Many of these mountains are best climbed in the summer months to avoid excessive wind, cold and snow. To avoid all unnecessary risk, wear appropriate clothing and take food, water and equipment that might be needed, and go with a friend, and let your friends or families know your route. The wise ones say that prayers on these holy mountains can amplify prayers comparable to 3,000 other sincere people praying with you, so you will be in good company. They are a kind of a special dispensation to give Mother Earth and humanity a helping hand through this challenging shift to the prophesied glorious 1,000 years of Peace.

Any body of water is also a sacred site that augments prayers, especially the oceans. But God bless Dr. King and the Aetherius Society for helping make humanity aware of these holy mountains and make them more available to us. People of all cultures have done sacred Pilgrimages for eons. So if you ever wanted to experience doing a pilgrimage, doing one to a Holy Mountain as we approach 2012, would be a phenomenal choice, while getting a beautiful workout where we sweat out toxins, which also raises our vibration and enhances our creative juices up there next to God.

OFF-THE-GRID WIND AND SOLAR ENERGY – KEY TO LIFE

Dr. King always strongly emphasized the dangers of the death toxin, radiation, and the importance of taking responsibility. Today that means insisting our representatives shift our countries’ 2012 Budgets to safe renewable energy NOW. Especially to have sources of off-the-grid electricity “to prevent extended blackouts across possibly half of America for weeks or months from major solar flares in 2012,” NASA now warns us.

By the U.S. and other countries following New Mexico’s lead in building off-the-grid wind and solar energy projects near reactors, we can together prevent more meltdowns in America and other countries by giving reactors extended emergency backup power – instead of 48 hours of most reactors. This strategy could have prevented Fukushima’s disaster that may make Japan uninhabitable, along with poisoning our oceans and humanity. On June 16th, the NY Times reported that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission task force following the Fukushima catastrophe addressed the weakest safety link: “It is time to prepare for the possibility of an extended blackout.” (REF: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/16/business/energy-environment/16nrc.html?_r=1&nl=todaysheadlines&emc=tha23 .)

The Aetherius Society is planning more group pilgrimages to Mt Baldy in July, August and September, and warmly welcomes all. Special thanks to Gene Mulvihill’s NJ Mountain Creek Ski Resort and the Ute Mt Casino for helping make this possible.

Here are the Holy Mountains nearest you, as well as the political education and action we must take. In unity, our Earth Family can create a more conscious flourishing New Dawn.

eNewsChannels COLUMN:Following Bolivia’s passage of their domestic law “Recognizing Mother Earth as a living entity and giving Her the Same Rights as Humans,” the United Nations held a dialogue via an interactive webcast on its “Harmony with Nature” Day, April 20, and it is now working on adopting these rights worldwide.

Thanks to this surprising mindshift by UN leaders and participants, the day also ended in an emergency call to action where the Indigenous, kids, renewable energy, and teamwork play key roles to veer us off our current path toward extinction. Fortunately the UN is not alone. (http://www.unmultimedia.org/tv/webcast/2011/04/general-assembly-interactive-dialogue-on-harmony-with-nature-english.html).

“WE NEED TO PROTECT THE HABITAT THAT SUSTAINS US” – Pope Benedict XV1

Pope Benedict’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences came to the same conclusion in May, not just for their 1.8 billion Catholics. But as a result of alarming new evidence found by his 80 international scientists of diverse faiths, that global warming is increasing much faster than expected and in some areas gone over the tipping point, the German Pontiff made this bold “call to action for all people in all nations:”

“If we as inhabitants want to ensure our rights to daily bread, fresh air to breathe and clean water to drink, and want justice and peace, we need to protect the habitat that sustains us,” said the German Pontiff. Now called the “Green Pope” for also switching to solar energy at the Vatican, he urged everyone to help reduce the cause of climate change.” (http://www.kpbs.org/news/2011/may/10/catholic-church-goes-green-counter-global-warming/ ).

“WE NEED A WARTIME MOBILIZATION SHIFT FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO RENEWABLES”

Lester Brown, founder of World Watch, which holds its annual conference in Aspen, pleaded in March for “a wartime mobilization shift from fossil oil and coal, which are heating up the planet and rapidly reducing our ability to feed the world, to renewable wind and solar.”

The Union of Concerned Scientists, including Stanford’s late shared Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Stephen Schneider, partner to the North American Elders, also warned us that “nuclear is NOT clean energy,” and the 400 reactors worldwide are major contributors to heating up our planet. By switching our 2012 Budgets to renewables, we have the power and responsibility to reduce melting of our glaciers, killing our forests, freaky weather, floods, droughts, and oil extraction-related spills, earthquakes and tsunamis that led to the Fukashima meltdown poisoning our whole Earth Family.

America is ranked 7th out of the G8 countries in overall green progress. Yet Brown says that wind power from just North Dakota, Kansas and Texas, could quickly power America! Plus U.S. Secretary of Energy Chu said “our solar energy potential is enough to supply twice as much power as America needs.” President Obama did brilliantly pledge $150 billion in renewable energy projects for developing countries over the next 10 years. A poll shows that most Americans prefer safe renewable energy, since it saves trillions on wars and catastrophes that can instead be used to lift up communities and pay down the national debt. REF: http://enewschannels.com/2011/05/17/enc13131_173734.php ..

All these leaders have been inspired by Indigenous Peoples. For example in 2008, RobertJohn Knapp, a Seneca Elder-scholar, was joined by representatives of six European countries singing and blessing the streams, much like St Francis, as they followed them to their Rome meeting with Pope Benedict. At the end of the exchange Knapp presented the Pontiff with a staff and requested he ask all the religions to help clean up our waters. Shortly thereafter, the Pontiff declared, “It is a sin to poison the water,” as it is suicidal. Also why Popes John Paul 11 and Benedict have urged farmers to follow Nature’s Laws and say “No” to suicidal GMO seeds.

MOTHER EARTH’S RIGHTS

The Pontiff was likely further empowered by the UN taking seriously the Bolivian Law giving our “beloved” Mother Earth Rights, enacted in January by their Indigenous President Evo Morales. The Vancouver Sun reported that “the law recognizes a country’s natural resources as ‘blessings.’ And to grant Earth the rights to life, water, clean air, and to repair livelihoods affected by human activities; and the right to be free from pollution.”

Ecuador’s Constitution of 2008 states that nature’s rights should be taken into account in all planning activities, including the maintenance, regeneration, and restoration of its cycles, structures, functions and evolutionary processes. REF: http://daccess-dds-ny.un.org/doc/UNDOC/GEN/N10/489/57/PDF/N1048957.pdf?OpenElement

Nobel Laureates Eric Chivian, Muhammad Yunus, and Joseph Stiglitz agree that “Human beings are an inseparable part of Mother Earth, and life depends on uninterrupted functioning of Her cycles.”

Together the UN participants painted a holistic picture of a “new world resplendent with life” and urged a shift from an economic system that regards nature as a commodity that we have the right to exploit, to a paradigm that respects Mother Earth’s rights and intrinsic value. Instead of the GNP as the measure of progress, they proposed measuring the “quality of life, well being, and the Gross National Happiness,” pioneered by Ecuador, France and Bhutan.

Humanity is at a crossroads: Why should we only respect the laws of human beings and not those of nature? Why do we call the person who kills his neighbor a criminal, but not he who extinguishes a species or contaminates a river or a system as a whole, if all of us, absolutely all of us, rely on the life of the Earth System? asked Pablo Solon, Bolivia’s Ambassador to the UN.

Hail to the participants who included some of Earth’s deepest thinkers from the member states and renowned authors on the panel: Vandana Shiva (India), Peter Brown (Canada), Cormac Cullinan (South Africa), Riane Eisler (United States), Paul-Bertrand Barets (France), Gilberto Gallopin (Argentina), Ivo Havinga (UN) Mathis Wackernagel (Switzerland). Besides the Bolivians, there was a representative of the UN’s Indigenous Peoples Partnership, as a preview of Native Elders further helping light the way for humanity at RIO-20 next June, which was part of the 2012 prophesy.

A COOPERATIVE PARTNERSHIP MODELED AFTER NATURES LAWS

Brown and Eisler explained why our current Neo Classical economics model of dominance at any cost to humanity and Nature is falling apart. Brown said, “Today’s financial paradigm is not scientifically based since the economic indicators are not connected to Earth’s “natural capital,” defined as goods and services from Nature essential for life, which U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Barnaki even admits!”

Eisler explained that politicians worldwide keep this medieval model going because it benefits a few at the expense of the many…virtual slaves. “‘Trickle Down Economics’ comes from peasants getting the crumbs falling off the king’s table. Mainstream economics is unsustainable because it fails to include the critical life-giving, healthy home environment and care giving contributions of women and Mother Earth, which is sacred.” UK researchers estimated that “Housewives should be paid £30,000″ (about $45,000). Malaysian Moderator Martin Khor added, “A maid’s salary is listed on government balance sheets, but when she marries it disappears, though contributing the same work” – why women’s value is discounted. The participants agreed “we need to make a cultural shift to a cooperative partnership system, an Earth Democracy, modeled after Nature’s laws to survive as a species.”

A sign of this economic mindshift is Citibank and Google spending $110 billion on authentically clean wind energy to power 450,000 Southern California homes to help restore its blue sky air quality, its Natural Capital.

REPAIRING OUR GREATEST THREAT TO NATIONAL AND GLOBAL SECURITY

Don’t we need a combination of Earth Rights and Keynesian economics, where governments create full employment, which got America out of the First Depression? It addressed people’s needs, not wants, and spread the wealth more fairly. A green job mobilization could repair our National, and in unity, our Global Security.

Globally, Venezuela, Saint Vincent, the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda were also leaders in supporting the “Mother Earth Rights” initiative, some having similar Nature-protecting laws. Hail to these Latin Nations and the orchestrators of Harmony with Nature Day: UN’s Bolivian Mission, the UN Division of Sustainable Development and the UN Office of the President of the General Assembly. Together they showed humanity what living in harmony with Mother Earth looks like, so She can keep us around!

The acting President of the UN General Assembly, Botswana Ambassador Charles Ntwaagae said, “We must all recognize that we are part of nature and simply living to fulfill our desires at Nature’s expense is not sustainable.”

United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Asha-Rose Migiro said, “There is much we can learn from the wisdom and philosophy of indigenous peoples”…”A holistic view of environmental, social and economic well-being is indeed the only route to truly sustainable development”.

Khor called ‘Harmony with Nature’ an extremely important phrase that resonates with most of us, and the “Secretary-General’s report on it as quite remarkable and unusual and I encourage the public to read it.” REF: http://daccess-dds-ny.un.org/doc/UNDOC/GEN/N10/489/57/PDF/N1048957.pdf?OpenElement

EGYPTIANS HAD STRICT LAWS AGAINST FOULING THE WATER AND LAND

We all have Indigenous ancestors, and those who kept the tribal ways of living at one with Nature and learning from mistakes, have had the longest Civilization. Next, the Egyptian Civilization lasted 3,000 years because the Pharaohs and Queens had “strict laws against fouling the water and land.” And yet the United States, home to the UN headquarters, is only 400 years old.

Native Elders like Knapp were surprised and happy that speakers in the webcast now agree that “Human beings are an interdependent part of Nature and to keep the balance we must take only what we need and leave the rest for future generations, and take responsibility for doing the right thing.”

PRACTICAL AND SPIRITUAL SOLUTIONS KEY TO RESTORING MOTHER EARTH

Renewing Earth also takes spiritual solutions. The African and Venezuelan leaders talked about “the important role that the Indigenous Peoples play with their pool of ancient knowledge.” “By connecting with the ancestral and Nature spirits through their ceremonies they have protected and countered the destruction of their sacred forests and waters, while promoting respect for Nature and living frugally.”

On the road to Rio+20, the UN invites groups to take an active role in the promotion of our shared environment. Given our strong ‘sports bridge’ between the cultures, UN’s Sustainability officer Maria Mercedes Sanchez invited our Native American Olympic Team Foundation to inspire communities around the world to live in more harmony with Nature by reaching out to their Indigenous Elders to lead Gratitude Snowdances (and Oceandances), which we have been spreading across North America and Europe for 16 years. We found that weather miracles do the most to wake people up to remember our earth-honoring Indigenous roots. (http://snow-riders.org/mir.html)

Scientists in 11 countries and Swiss Nobel Prize winner, Kurt Wuthrich, have verified the tests of Japan’s Water Guru, Dr. Masura Emoto, how giving “love and appreciation” to water clears it. Just as loving prayers, ceremonies and joyful dances of the world’s tribes lift the vibration of the mountains and oceans where toxins cannot exist. Mayan Chief Don Alejandro says that ideally cross-cultural ceremonies led by Native Elders or trusted shaman, which reconnect us to the heart of Mother Earth, are key to smoother 2012. More on these ceremonies in our “UN International Mother Earth Day” story. http://nativevoices.org/articles/MotherEarthDayInitiative.pdf)

Anytime we express those sentiments to our Mother Earth in thoughts, prayers, ceremonies, we are purifying and restoring Her natural cycles that we have put in painful chaos.

EDUCATING HUMANITY THROUGH THE KIDS

Dr. Emoto says the best way to get this message everywhere is through the children at schools since they then educate their parents who love them. The Venezuelan and Chinese representatives mentioned how they are helping educate their students about this ancient Indigenous view of Earth. Students worldwide watching China’s magnificent ancient drumming section of the Olympic opening ceremonies, and the origins part of the Australia, US, Norway, Japan, Canada…Games, were introduced to that mindshift. IOC President Jacques Rogge intuitively wrote as part of their Eco Agenda 21, “to include more Indigenous Peoples in the Olympics to enhance the Games sustainability.”

Another way we found in the U.S. to bring this feeling of sacredness of Nature to mainstream is through Native Americans leading eco hikes in schools like Telluride and Vail, so children can see Nature through their eyes. (Plus Aspen SkiCo wants the Utes to lead their popular eco tours). Similarly, six year olds in Sweden are taken on hikes and become bonded with Nature and therefore guardians for life. Karmically, we are bound to provide Earth’s children with our best tools for this new partnership way, to help them survive and thrive.

U.S. high schools students just invented an earth-friendly 300 mile per gallon electric car. So imagine if the 192 nation states urged schools worldwide to share highlights of this UN webcast, what it could do to create a wiser, appreciative, vibrantly green partnership with Mother Earth, our only Home. (Plus showing the stunning multi-lingual YouTube video “HOME” and “Water: The Great Mystery”)

Several panelists summed up the feeling of this “enlightening day” in quoting Gandhi. “The world has enough resources for eveybody’s needs, but not to meet the greed of a few.” And theologian Father Thomas Berry who said, “We must go hand in hand with Mother Nature into the future, or not go at all.”

The UN gathering also reached these conclusions: “In agriculture we can meet more needs of more people by following Nature’s laws as proven by UN scientists.” “And the member states and everyone need to help create the political will to recreate our Botanical Garden.”

40 YEARS OF PROMISES BY OUR PRESIDENTS OF ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

Millions of Earth Citizens are rising up to get true democratic rights in the Middle East and Africa, though the new Egyptian military regime tortured and forced female protestors to take virginity tests. (May 31 HuffPostAOLNews.)

On May 29, German DW World TV revealed these rallies have spread to Spain, with massive tent cities protesting their government SERVING THE CORPORATIONS and not the people. Sound familiar to your country? The Germans and the Swiss have risen up and are shutting down nuclear reactors. Thousands of protestors in India and Japan have led the shift from nuclear to renewables in Asia. Most of the protestors are students thanks to getting educated as never before via the internet and teachers inspiring kids in environmental classes.

“FOOLED ME 8 TIMES…” – JON STEWART

Jon Stewart brilliantly revealed on the Daily Show how “eight of our U.S. Presidents spanning four decades, have unkept promises to our people on implementing energy independence through renewables.” All Academy Award winning talk with little or no action while fully knowing we were headed for more and more catastrophic wars, oil spills and meltdowns. Dirty energy and their catastrophes make more profits for the few than a sustainable harmonious world. “Fool me once, shame on them. Fool me twice shame on me. Fool me 8 times…” That is why this kind of education and awareness is key. REF: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-june-16-2010/an-energy-independent-future

Our Earth Family who mainly wants to live in peace and harmony with each other and Nature, MUST spread the word and create a tsunami of “tough love” to enlighten and insist our political leaders addicted to big oil and nuclear payoffs, fund and implement massive renewable energy projects. Thank heaven that the “Harmony with Nature Day” participants and likely those watching worldwide, came to realize at this 11:59th hour that “Shifting to Green Energy as part of partnering with Mother Earth is no longer an option for our survival, but a condition.”

HOPE FOR A NUCLEAR FREE WORLD

Tribal Elders and Nobel Prize winners agree that war and nuclear radiation (plus Gulf oil spills) are the greatest threat to water, Mother Earth and humanity, having destroyed three worlds/civilizations. See how the UN’s Disarmament Commission is making steps to end this threat. And each of us as Earth Citizens, MUST INSIST that our leaders shift our 2012 Budgets from nuclear energy loans and oil subsidies for off shore drilling, to renewable energy. Both are critical for restoring Mother Earth and her “dying” oceans so She may flourish, and therefore our Right to Exist. More on this UN breakthrough in Part 2.

10 MINUTES of “RIGHT ACTION” TOWARD A “NUCLEAR FREE” RENEWED WORLD

Please call your two Senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them:

1. To end the $50 BILLION in TAXPAYER LOANS FOR NEW NUCLEAR REACTORS –small, large or in-between through supporting Senate bill, S. 512.

2. To support the bill to END CORPORATE OIL, plus say NO to NUCLEAR SUBSIDIES AND ANY TAX LOOPHOLES for the most profitable corporations.

3. To say NO to Senate bill 953 and any other legislation that recklessly fast-tracks oil drilling in the devastated Gulf and pristine Alaska. To keep contaminating our “dying” oceans is suicide!

4. If you are a Coloradan – congrats on stopping the Pueblo nuclear plant – NOW tell Senators Mark Udall and Bennett NO to the Canadian URANIUM MILL in Paradox that builds nuclear bombs components.

Tell your representative to say YES to House Bill HR1334 that redirects $50 BILLION annual funds FOR NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAMS towards renewables and community needs, and please co-sponsor it.

eNewsChannels COLUMN: On May 11, CNN showed Japan’s nuclear electric officials on their knees apologizing and asking forgiveness from the Japanese people for misleading them about the safety of their nuclear reactors and destroying so many lives. While “We are sorry” helps, it can never return loved ones or a community’s original healthy quality of life after any nuclear-related projects.

How can we ensure choosing the Prophesy of Peace and Prosperity for 1,000 years over Nuclear Energy suicide? By boldly enlightening and urging our representatives to learn the LESSONS of Japan and the Gulf we have encapsulated, as those who don’t are doomed to repeating them. And then strongly insisting our leaders STOP serving the nuclear and oil corporations, and start serving the American People through emergency prioritizing in the 2012 Budget of massive clean, safe renewable wind, solar and biothermal energy projects that do no harm to Mother Earth and humanity.

Here are some untapped sources of funds to restore our National Security: Forbes Magazine just revealed that three out of four of the “Most Profitable Corporations in the World” and America are oil companies. British Petroleum (BP) was 4th this catastrophic year!

“IT WOULD BE UN-AMERICAN”

CNN revealed at the April 12 Senate hearings about cutting off oil subsidies, (“which would not raise prices at the pump”), the unbelievably arrogant response by a CEO, “It would be un-American.” (Meaning, we oil companies have been manipulating the public for a half century and getting away with murder, and don’t want you, Congress, to cut off the wonderful gravy train we are addicted to from subsidies and tax loopholes we obviously don’t need.)

A Senator asked the remaining oil CEOs if they too felt that stopping subsidies was un-American. They all sat in silence. Then Senator Schumer asked, “Is your subsidy more important than financial aid to students to go to college,” a CEO replied, “It’s a very difficult question for me. It’s two totally different questions.” Senator Jay Rockefeller summed it up, “Oil companies are deeply and profoundly committed to sharing nothing.”

Here is the expose on another untapped source: “Ten Giant U.S. Companies Avoid Paying Income Taxes,” including several oil companies.

These CEO’s mainly said, “It would be unfair to raise our taxes,” meaning we are happy paying no taxes and prefer to keep the status quo of American Families continuing to shoulder U.S. taxes, despite already working too hard just to put food on the table.

MOST OF U.S. TAX MONIES GO TO NUCLEAR ARMS DEALERS

Most Americans, like me, also had no idea that we have been giving $50 billion of our annual U.S. Budget, including 2012, unless we act, to nuclear arms dealers. “We are spending more on defense than all our potential enemies combined, and we’d be safer redirecting a portion of it” to lift communities, say retired top U.S. military leaders.

Thanks to China redirecting defense monies toward Green energy – spending 1/6th as much as the U.S. on its military, and investing twice as much on clean energy technology, they just proudly unveiled their massive wind and solar projects.

“LET’S GET TO THE PEACE NOW”

CNN also reported that at the celebrations following Bin Laden’s death, the signs were predominantly, “Let’s get to the Peace NOW.” Since nuclear and oil energy are both related to war, here is the ideal chance to channel any testosterone/outrage from these revelations to create the America of our dreams. For the first time this is possible now that the depth of all this manipulation and greed is finally being exposed.

Since our leaders have been getting part of this gravy train “for reelection campaigns,” enough of us must passionately plead to their conscience/higher angels or reelection dreams to shift these elements of our 2012 U.S. and state budgets:

2012 BUDGET FOR THE “NEW AMERICAN DREAM”

Shift the $50 billion for nuclear weapons, plus $50 billion in canceled nuclear loan guarantees, plus the hefty canceled subsidies and tax breaks to oil companies and the other most profitable corporations (those harming Americans, water and air paying highest), to streamline starting to provide Americans with the safe authentically clean wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and tidal turbine energy we need, say experts. Plus there is enough left over to address dire community needs, student loans, and stimulate millions of green jobs, including producing the 300 miles per gallon electric or water-powered cars. And to restore the Gulf, Pacific and Arctic oceans, make amends to countries wrongly bombed to reduce terrorism, provide free natural healthcare for Americans, and pay down our National debt.

Coincidentally, the Natural Resources Defense Council and Sierra Club are pushing for $100 billion for clean renewable energy, which could create 2 million green jobs in just two years. Their “Green Recovery” program combines tax credits, loan guarantees and public investments.

In the words of the late wise Bob Marley, “It’s time to get up and stand up for our rights.” See how you can “click” to finalize the budgets being finalized NOW at the end. Together we have the power to vibrantly restore our Mother Earth. Here is what also convinced Japan and Germany to shift to renewables.

WIND ENERGY SAVING JAPANESE

As we saw in Japan, disruption of the electric grid brought their country to a standstill. It destroyed their reactors, radiation leakage is killing their marine life and spreading to other countries, and fallout killing or sickening millions of their citizens, and in its wake. Given that none of their wind turbines were harmed by their catastrophes, wind energy has been a Godsend to the Japanese People.

Therefore, funding Wind Energy in our super windy Dakotas and other states is a sane strategic way to protect and power America. Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu revealed at their US Tribal Energy Summit on May 5, that their National Renewable Energy Lab updated findings that the “Wind Energy in Indian Country could provide 32 percent of U.S. annual electric generation.” Perfect, since the Great Plains’ Intertribal COUP plan recently won a World Clean Energy Oscar in Switzerland since it shows respect to Mother Earth by not digging into, unbalancing, exploding or polluting Her, or killing Her children. Businesses like Massachusetts’ Berkshire East ski area are realizing impossible dreams – no electricity bills – with their “wind mills.”

According to the President of the Institute of Energy, Dr. Arjun Makhijani, “The US could have low-carbon energy without nuclear power, and that wind and solar energy would be cheaper and safer than nuclear since there is no risk of catastrophic downside and phenomenal cleanup costs.” The Lab backed that up in also revealing that “the solar energy potential in Indian Country is twice the total amount of electricity the U.S. generates per year.” That is why Secretary Chu reached out to also partner with Indian Reservations to also help solve their 50% unemployment compared to 9% nationally. A win-win!

REQUIRE RENEWABLE ENERGY AS EMERGENCY BACKUP

Having a mere 48 hours of electrical battery backup at Japan’s reactors, located on a fault line, was suicidal, as well as a trillion dollar OOPS that we are all paying for! Until the rest of our reactors can be phased out, each plant should immediately provide a renewable off-the-grid electric source next to it, as emergency backup. If Japan’s wind turbines were located near their reactors, they could have been saved and meltdowns avoided.

Senator Tom Udall and New Mexico Jr. College are heroically protecting their “Land of Enchantment” and humanity through quickly building four solar projects plus a wind one next to their nuclear plants. Solar and wind can then gradually take over safely serving the electrical needs of the region.

Secretary Chu shared with tribal leaders that “we’re also pursuing potentially revolutionary approaches to large-scale batteries. These batteries could eventually store enough power to supply a village. This could someday mean that villages that are not connected to the grid could have reliable electricity through their own solar and wind power.”

These batteries could also be emergency backup in every city and near reactors where renewable projects would not work.

AS A MATTER OF WORLD SECURITY

As a matter of Local, State, National and World Security, as it takes a Village, the Elders strongly recommend first funding: 1. Renewable projects next to reactors on or near fault lines. 2. then reactors located in the Pacific’s Ring of Fire. 3. near any coast lines, especially the Gulf and Alaska painfully struggling from oil spills. 4. within 200 miles of major populations. 5. near superfund sites, plus uranium mills or mines already contaminated.

The Elders also say the U.S. needs to establish the shut down date for all reactors, mills and mines, as Japan and Germany did, since scientists agree plants are even more at risk from the elevated seismic activity worldwide and upheavals triggered by the 2012-related solar flares.

PREVENTING MORE TSUNAMIS!

Oil is Mother Earth’s brilliant lubricant between Her shifting Continental tectonic plates, and offshore drilling caves in or unbalances the ocean floors that triggered the quakes and Japan and Thailand’s trillion dollar tsunamis. Therefore budgeting massive renewable energy projects now can guarantee enough energy to realistically reverse Obama’s May decisions to allow offshore drilling again in the Gulf, Atlantic, and pristine regions of Alaska!

Scientists and Elders agreed that our oceans were “dying” even before the catastrophic hits in the Gulf and Japan. “The Pacific Ocean is Radioactive Garbage Dump” story uncovers that “the Pacific is now so radioactive that we cannot safely eat any fish.”

The Tokyo Electric Power Company admitted on May 15 that the “radioactive materials leaking into the ocean near the Fukushima plant rose to 32,000 times the legal limit of cesium-134.” Therefore the Pacific and Gulf may not withstand another catastrophe.

As a last ditch effort to salvage our oceans it would be wise to shut down all off shore drilling and all reactors next to oceans immediately to veer off our suicidal path. That is why even Pope Benedict declared in 2008, “It is a sin to poison the water.” The Elders say “when the animals are gone, we are gone.” If drilling is not stopped in Alaska, also say goodbye to our surprising animal friends in the Arctic wonderland.

ENOUGH SAFE ENERGY TO POWER AMERICA

Today, if an upheaval takes out our electric grid, like Japan’s, our gas stations would shut down, along with clean water and food supplies. Therefore a huge source of earth-friendly off the grid electric power is critical to also keep the pumps working while also prepping for the electric car boom. Thanks to high school students safeguarding their future since we adults haven’t yet, they invented “the most efficient electric car ever made – 300 miles/gallon.”

Jack Chrysler, the grandson, told the kids at our Ute Cultural Camp in Telluride that “Only greed – Detroit and oil companies – has slowed down producing electric cars with that kind of mileage.”

AMERICA’S RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS

There are more signs of hope for America with many renewable projects being developed on private lands. Plus Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar has given priority status to 19 renewable energy projects in the 12 western states on our BLM lands. It includes 9 solar, 5 wind, and 5 geothermal as part of the Administration’s efforts to diversify the Nation’s energy portfolio done in an environmentally responsible manner in collaboration with the Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service. Therefore no nuclear reactors are allowed on our public lands. Announcement of 2011 Priority Renewable Energy Projects This is a good start, but we now need sizable projects in every state.

AFFORDABLE SOLAR

Following the success of the Navajo/Dine model communities in Arizona, four solar energy areas were identified by the Interior in Colorado’s sunshine state. This is a timely alternative to the nuclear plant rejected by the people in Pueblo, Colorado in April, and the proposed Canadian uranium mill in Paradox.

Telluride’s Rabbi Michael Saftler said, “This foreign company openly plans to sell its highly profitable yellow cake, the component for nuclear bombs, to Asia, including Korea. We are putting our National Security at risk!”

As a ski instructor, REALTOR and guardian of the wetlands and tribes there, Rabbi Saftler also warned, “Because of payoffs, this foreign corporation is not even required to comply with our Clean Air, Water, Health and Tribal Cultural Laws. They also don’t pay Coloradans a royalty, leaving tax payers with the multi-million dollar clean up bills. The radiation from this mill located next to a nuclear waste dump that has already been leaking into the water and air for decades, risks plummeting land and home prices, huge healthcare costs, and losing thousands of jobs in our Ski Mecca since the uranium leaders say ‘this could resurrect our industry and reopen the many abandoned uranium mines.’ Learn from how uranium mining devastated families of the nearby Navajo Nation. And please say NO to the Paradox mill being decided now.”

Following the greatest disasters in history in the Gulf and Japan from oil and nuclear energy, why isn’t our government passionately working on funding massive renewable energy projects like other countries to protect the American people? While it would be nice to keep thinking our leaders have our welfare at heart, it is time for some tough love.

CONSCIOUS CHOICES

Given that most Americans do not buy clothes and shoes that are made by children in sweatshops now, why on earth don’t we include that consciousness in our choice of energy? We have helped those oil and nuclear companies with blood all over them be the most profitable in the world, when there have been cheaper, Earth-friendly alternatives. Therefore we also have blood on us, and for the sake of our children, isn’t it time to wash it off through right action?

Chernobyl’s uncovered death toll is now 1.4 million, which is also expected from those in the fallout path of Japan’s similar meltdown. Thanks to learning from Chernobyl’s lessons and the friendship between the Swedish Prime Minister and Onondaga Iroquois Chief Oren Lyons, Sweden restored its integrity with Nature to protect its highest standard of living by shutting down its plant in 2005 in favor of renewables.

MORE AMERICANS SAY “NO” TO NUCLEAR REACTORS

A March 2011 Civil Society Institute poll found that 73% of Americans oppose federal loan guarantees for new nuclear reactors. An April 2011 ABC News/Washington Post poll found 64% oppose new reactor construction entirely!

15 MINUTES TO “NUCLEAR FREE” WORLD

If you have already taken these steps to Renew our World, bless you. If not yet, here is how you can in 15 minutes help make America be nuclear free and prevent Gulf reruns.

URGENT: Urge your senators to OPPOSE S. 953 and any other legislation that recklessly fast-tracks oil drilling and expands harmful drilling into new areas. – introduced by Senator Mitch McConnell (who has taken $879,000 in political contributions from oil industry). Please also tell President Obama to reinstate the MORATORIUM on all OFF SHORE DRILLING in the Gulf and Alaska at: 202-456-1111. To keep contaminating our oceans is suicide!

You may use this link to show your support in opposing this bill:

To END THE $50 BILLION + TAXPAYER LOANS FOR NEW NUCLEAR REACTORS now, Please send a letter to your members of Congress.

The “Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Economic and Energy Conversion Act of 2011,” REDIRECTS $50 BILLION annual funds FOR NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAMS towards human, infrastructure and clear energy needs. Click here for your representatives to co-sponsor House Bill HR1334

Send a message to your Senators and tell them to wake up: not one more taxpayer dime for nuclear power – small, large or in-between! Senate bill, S. 512. At the same time, tell your Senators – see phone numbers – to support the bill to END CORPORATE OIL SUBSIDIES AND TAX LOOPHOLES for the most profitable corporations, which is also being decided NOW.

Hail Coloradans for saving our Ski Mecca from radiation by saying NO to the Pueblo Nuclear reactor! Now please tell your Senators NO to the Canadian URANIUM MILL in Paradox.

See other critical 2012 budget bills being decided now at the end of: http://enewschannels.com/2011/03/26/enc12910_130846.php .

The link includes a cartoon message from the (wiser) animal kingdom by Denver Post’s Mike Keefe, who just won a Pulitzer Prize!

NATIONAL NUCLEAR-FREE CALL IN DAY – Wednesday, MAY 18.

Please call your Congressmen and demand an end to the nuclear loan program, especially those on the Appropriations Committees at 202-224-3121. Help make every phone ring on May 18, to end nuclear loans and build a nuclear-free, carbon-free energy, phenomenal future.

Can you imagine what redirecting our leaders’ genius and budgets from world destruction to World Peace could be like? Beyond our greatest dreams. People in many countries and Colorado are rising up shutting down nuclear plants, uranium mills and mines and creating real Democracies instead of unaccountable Corpocracies. So can We the American People!

eNewsChannels COLUMN: Following Japan’s tragic nuclear wake up call, humanity is at a pivotal crossroads: Choosing to keep pouring billions more dollars into trying to make “uninsurable” nuclear energy safer, despite more cost effective alternatives, and given that top scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, agree that there is NO SAFE nuclear energy, OR shifting 2012′s national and state budgets NOW to support safe, renewable, cost-effective wind, solar, tidal turbine and geothermal energy.

In a landmark decision on April 25 that is rippling across America, the People of Pueblo Colorado chose to protect their families and Rocky Mountain Ski Mecca with renewable energy over a nuclear reactor, to prevent more priceless catastrophes that threaten our very existence.

Given that technology has not been able to solve our world eco crisis, UN General Assembly President Brockman said, “We need to listen to the voice of Indigenous People,” supported by six Nobel Prize Winners. But it was the late Secretary of Interior Stewart Udall, who first said at Aspen’s World Watch conference, “There is hope for humanity because we are starting to listen to the wisdom of Native Americans.”

The Hopi Elders have warned us for decades in the “Book of Hopi” by Frank Waters that, “Three of our worlds have already been destroyed. The first one by volcano triggered fires, the second by ice and the third by floods, all as a result of the Earth shifting on Her axis. Creator destroyed these worlds after the Oneness given us turned into human quarrels, corruption, world wars over materialism, and then technology making humanity forget to ‘sing joy from our hearts to Creator.’ But those who kept their hearts open were saved.”

We are now in the 4th world, and Hopi Elders say that “the United States will be destroyed, land and people, by atomic bombs and radioactivity. But those with peace in their hearts will be sheltered.” (REF: http://www.iamamerica.com/media/following_the_star.pdf ). The Elders also say that prophesies can shift as the minds and hearts and actions of humanity shift.

The late Sir George King, astrophysicist and mystic, corroborates much of the Hopi Prophesy in his book “The Holy Mountains of the World” (published by Aetherius Society). He said “Planet Earth is an ancient Goddess of immense compassion, wisdom and cosmic experience, who gives us refuge upon Her surface.” He agreed that each of these three worlds, or human civilizations, were destroyed by the Earth’s axial turns. The difference is that he says the axial turns all triggered massive floods that cleansed the earth and prevented nuclear chain-reactions. Dr. King explained that Man had nuclear technology then that could have killed life forms on most of the planet’s surface for hundreds of thousands of years, and possibly Mother Earth Herself. And the Great Ones consider the protection of Mother Earth as first priority.

The Hopi and Dine/Navajo Elders say that coal is Mother Earth’s precious liver, and uranium both Her heart and lungs, which is why they have always fought mining in the Four Corners, and why the Navajo developed model solar communities in Arizona. Oil, which they call “the blood of Mother Earth,” is the lubricant of our Continental tectonic plates, why using renewable energy sources is imperative or “Shift Happens.”

Mother Earth is also a teacher through timely “signs.” On the eve of UN’s second International Mother Earth Day on April 22, ABC News reported that Arkansas’ gas drilling that started a year ago, was shut down after 1,000 earthquake tremors, which had never happened there before.

Yet in this 4th World, scientists in the U.S. and other nations have known since the 1950s about the horrific dangers of all things nuclear. In 1957, Walter Russell, who was called “the Man who tapped the secrets of the Universe” by IBM founder Tom Watson Sr. and others, wrote the book, “Atomic Suicide.” In it he said, “Radioactivity is man’s discovery of how we can die quickly, and not be able to propagate for many long centuries.”

This continued suicidal attempt by man is a main reason why Seneca Elder, RobertJohn Knapp spoke with Pope Benedict, who was moved to declare in 2008, “It is a sin to poison the water!”

“Through our ignorance and breaking of Nature’s laws,” Walter said, “we have collectively created sickness.” His co-author wife Lao said, “The Universal Law is the principal of giving, and violation of that law has created every war and problem in our lives.” Imagine how glorious living according to Universal Law in harmony with Nature can look and feel like!

Australia’s Dr. Helen Caldecott received a Nobel Prize for her medical research and perspective that reinforced Walter Russell’s warning to humanity that “Nuclear energy is a destroyer of worlds!”

NUCLEAR ENERGY 200 TIMES MORE DAMAGING THAN HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI’S BOMBS!

It took Japan’s meltdown to finally wake us up to realize that more people have been killed or sickened by nuclear energy radiation than nuclear bombs. In 1999, over 10 years ago, the press reported that the “radiation from nuclear energy, atomic tests, Chernobyl and other accidents, had already poisoned humanity with over 200 times more radiation than the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs.” Deadly radiation from four unreported nuclear accidents in the U.S. similar to the Three Mile Island accident in 1979 was revealed by Rachel Maddow on her April MSNBC show.

MAYAN PROPHECY

And here we are again. CNN reported that the Japanese quake sparked the axial shift of the earth’s crust, prophesied by the Mayans.

TIME TO GRADUATE

Our human family has flunked “Survival 101″ three times from forgetting, ignoring, allowing ourselves to be distracted, or hiding these lessons. Knowing these horrific human history lessons, and inspired by the mindshift created by UN’s International Mother Earth Day, let us collectively set our hearts on choosing to manifest the other (multi-cultural) prophesy of 1,000 years of Peace and Prosperity for all life forms, including all of us and our children who take responsibility for creating a New Earth.

Dr King’s book “You Are Responsible” would say it is imperative for each of us to do our part to INSIST that our leaders shut down and stop the licensing and building of all nuclear reactors, and to phase out anything nuclear related NOW (weaponry, uranium mines and mills). Then SHIFT our 2012 Budgets from defense and nuclear projects to safe wind, solar, tidal turbine and geothermal energy. Let our Earth Mother safely boil our water. Let Her hum with happiness and more abundance for all!

KARMA

With 2012 coming up many of us are interested in karma. I was surprised to learn that the wise ones say that ignorance is no excuse, as God gave us minds, intuition and discernment. Karma works like a bank account. Our good deeds now can offset past bad, ignorant or unconscious deeds, including our collective part. For example, Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev founded the Green Cross to make amends for his part of the nuclear arms race and Chernobyl, to warn humanity about the incomparable dangers of anything nuclear, including its waste.

PENDING NUCLEAR FREE BILLS

Here is how you can majorly Renew our World in 15 minutes by making America or your country, nuclear free: Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton brilliantly introduced the Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Economic and Energy Conversion Act of 2011, redirecting $50 billion annual funds for nuclear weapons programs towards human, infrastructure, and clear energy needs.

Following Colorado’s victory, by each doing our part to shift from nuclear to renewable energy NOW, and celebrating Mother Earth’s gifts and holding Her in our hearts every day, we are on our way to graduating from an historic cycle of abuse, to 1,000 years of phenomenal Peace and Prosperity!

See Part 2, for “A Renewed World.” And may God bless us all!
