CHARDON, Ohio /eNewsChannels/ — e2b calibration, a division of e2b teknologies, announced today that they have implemented Anytime Assets into their internal calibration system, allowing customers to track their calibrated assets. Anytime Assets is a cloud-based inventory tracking software that enables users to remotely track their calibrated assets from any location with internet access.

“What sets e2b calibration’s asset tracking service apart from other tracking services is the availability of inventory photos,” said President of e2b teknologies Lynne Henslee. “Users can even view their transactional history with Anytime Assets, providing a comprehensive audit trail.”

e2b calibration provides a photo directory of all calibrated instruments so that customers can physically “view” their inventory. Additionally, the e2b calibration asset tracking service will notify customers of when they are due for service on individual items, so that their instruments don’t lose dependability.

The Anytime Assets tracking service is provided free to all e2b calibration customers. Customers are given a secure login where they can monitor the progress of all their calibrated items by make, model or serial number. Customers are provided with a complete historical record of their item’s condition, and their certificate of calibration can also be viewed on the Anytime Assets network by anyone with a secure password.

The Anytime Assets tracking system offers unique capabilities such as full photos and appointment notifications. It is just one way that e2b calibration offers simple, affordable and accurate calibration services to their customers.

Bringing together more than 25,000 industry-shaping professionals from 90 countries, FMI is the food retail industry’s most-attended conference and exposition in North America. As one of 1,200+ exhibitors, Hill PHOENIX will feature several new and exciting innovations inside booth #4409.

PureView(TM) Door System: PureView(TM) lives up to its name by providing more viewable area in medium temp cases; the largest door height (75 inches), interior height (71 inches) and shelf depth of 27 inches. More pack-out, product facings, and external viewing area makes it easier for retailers to stock and customers to shop. Insulated doorframe components are integrated into the structure of the low temp display case providing a thermal break between the door and the refrigerated zone. Hill PHOENIX(R) is the only manufacturer to successfully implement this innovative approach – an advancement that provides a dramatic decrease in energy consumption of up to 34 percent.

Clearvoyant(TM) LED Lighting: Get a first look at Hill PHOENIX’s next generation of Clearvoyant LED lights at its one-of-a-kind lighting display showcasing various types of LED lighting in combination with different types of ambient lighting.

* Proprietary design directs light evenly from angles of 0 to 30 degrees, allowing for multiple merchandising configurations.
* Clearvoyant LEDs fit completely underneath the shelf, increasing case pack out by 10 percent and allowing customers to see only what they want – the product.
* Optional color temperatures of 3,000K or 3,500K make any product pop.
* Customized low-profile extruded channel helps dissipate heat and reduces case BTUH by 3 percent.
* Clearvoyant is up to 75 percent more energy-efficient than standard T8 lighting.
* Fits Any Hill PHOENIX Shelf (Traditional and New).

Glimpse the 100 percent HFC-free sustainable store of the future with Hill PHOENIX-Advansor transcritical technology – a game changer for the supermarket industry. Advansor and Hill PHOENIX combined have more than 550 CO2 systems operating in supermarkets in the United States, Europe and Canada, making them the largest manufacturer of CO2 refrigeration systems in the world.

And, see how Hill PHOENIX is making its popular Synerg-E(TM) display case technology available across its entire line of low- and medium-temp merchandisers, including custom Barker Specialty Products by Hill PHOENIX cases. Synerg-E delivers enhanced display case performance and energy savings by combining Hill PHOENIX’s proprietary NRGcoil(TM) with its patented Airflow Management System.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. /eNewsChannels/ -- SecuGen, the world's leading optical fingerprint device vendor, is pleased to announce the availability of biometric identity management and fraud prevention for SAP system users with the combination of SecuGen Hamster Plus and Hamster IV fingerprint readers and bioLock software from realtime North America Inc.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. /eNewsChannels/ — SecuGen, the world’s leading optical fingerprint device vendor, is pleased to announce the availability of biometric identity management and fraud prevention for SAP(R) system users with the combination of SecuGen(R) Hamster(TM) Plus and Hamster(TM) IV fingerprint readers and bioLock(TM) software from realtime North America Inc.

SecuGen fingerprint scanners are fully compatible with bioLock software, which gives SAP users biometric control of sensitive system activities at granular levels, such as financial transfers, access to customer or vendor master data and viewing of confidential company reports or intellectual property. Biometric credentials can be re-authenticated when users request restricted information or perform mission-critical activities, using a SecuGen Hamster series reader combined with bioLock software. Passwords become irrelevant and are replaced with robust biometric control. This enhances governance, regulatory compliance and strictly enforces Segregation of Duties (SoD) procedures.

SecuGen fingerprint readers are well known around the world for being accurate, rugged, and affordable. The Hamster Plus and Hamster IV feature Auto-On(TM), an Automatic Finger Placement Detection technology that checks for the presence of a finger without prompting, thus improving speed significantly. Recognition of difficult fingerprints, such as dry, wet, scarred or aged skin, has been enhanced with Smart Capture(TM), which adjusts brightness to adjust for such conditions.

Jeff Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing stated, “Our Hamster readers work seamlessly with bioLock and SAP software to give security administrators more control than ever before. If a user fails a SecuGen biometric authentication by attempting an unauthorized activity, a supervisor can be automatically alerted by email of the logged security violation. The SecuGen Hamster reader therefore becomes an integral part of an SAP data loss and insider fraud prevention system.”

ATLANTA, Ga. /eNewsChannels/ — OxBlue® Corporation, pioneers in the construction camera industry, released today several case studies demonstrating the benefits clients have experienced with the OxBlue construction camera systems. “Construction cameras have supported this industry for some time,” stated Chandler McCormack, President of OxBlue.

“But many in the industry may not be fully aware of all the ways this technology can impact their project on a tangible level. With these case studies, we wanted to show just what can be accomplished through the real-world application of our construction webcams and how the cameras deliver real-world results.”

Some of the highlights of the case studies include:

Emery Sapp & Sons: Emery Sapp & Sons received a $600,000 early completion bonus from the Missouri Department of Transportation. The contractor built a bridge right next to the one it was replacing, and then slid the new structure into place. It was able to accomplish such a feat with the precise project monitoring and coordination made possible by OxBlue construction cameras.

Northern Tool + Equipment: Northern Tool runs on tighter, more accurate schedules through up-to-date jobsite monitoring that provides the current status of every project. After realizing the enhanced command and control made possible by OxBlue camera systems, Northern Tool now uses OxBlue construction webcams on all its new store projects.

Noble Investment Group: Noble connects the firm’s principals to projects without airfare or hotel costs. Decision makers remotely view current and historic site images to resolve conflicts and improve collaboration with team members and contractors.

Massaro Corporation: Massaro used OxBlue construction webcams to document project delays that were far out of the contractor’s control, including an archeological find on the jobsite and a fire right next door. High-resolution, time-lapse video evidence from the construction cameras also supported insurance claims.

“OxBlue time-lapse construction cameras lead the industry in performance and reliability in every unique construction environment,” related McCormack. “We hope these case studies provide insight into some of the many everyday situations where they can help keep a project on track to reach a highly successful conclusion.”

To read these case studies in their entirety, visit http://oxblue.com/clients/case_study_register .

About OxBlue Corporation:

OxBlue is a leading construction camera service provider, giving numerous Fortune 500 companies the hardware, connectivity and expertise to enable constant access to jobsites through high-resolution construction webcam images. OxBlue’s construction cameras connect people on and off site, and measure variables such as labor, risk, quality and materials. The cameras provide accountability and increase communications between construction companies and clients.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. /eNewsChannels/ — SecuGen and BridgePoint Systems are collaborating to introduce the new TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader, BridgePoint’s flexible solution. The new Reader offers a variety of security options including biometric, PIN and optional PKI challenge-response authentication for increasing or decreasing the level of security, depending on the user’s requirements. The new Reader will be available for preview at SecuGen’s booth, number 18139, at next week’s ISC West 2012 exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader contains SecuGen’s PIV compliant fingerprint OEM module, the SDA04, and is the only device of its kind that is Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) compatible. It is designed to authenticate Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials and mitigate electronic cloning. Attackers who otherwise could make a copy of a PIV credential and then build a clone will not be able to do so when BridgePoint’s TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader is in-place. The attacker cannot copy the private keys that are required to achieve a cryptographic PKI challenge-response, which the BridgePoint Reader is uniquely configured to verify. As a result, attackers are not able to succeed when it comes to getting past either the Personal or Card Authentication Key (PAK and CAK) mechanisms.

The TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader features an advanced, weather-resistant, slim-line design, a user friendly telephone-style keypad, a bright 2 line by 16 character display, a stainless steel conduit port, a USB programming port and dual tamper switches for detecting unauthorized removal.

“When designing this state-of-the-art reader, we were drawn to SecuGen’s fingerprint sensors and OEM modules,” said Thomas E. Corder, president and CEO of BridgePoint Systems. “We felt the technology was unmatched due to its high quality and reasonable pricing structure. “We are very pleased to work with SecuGen and look forward to a long relationship between our two companies.”

Jeff Brown, VP of Sales for SecuGen added, “The TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader is truly unique in its ability to present a cryptographic PKI challenge-response. We are excited about the prospects for this product.”

Won Lee, CEO of SecuGen stated, “Our goal has always been to deliver reliable, accurate, and affordable products for our developer partners. We are very pleased with BridgePoint Systems’ new Reader and we are honored to play a part in bringing this new product to market.”

About BridgePoint Systems:

For more than a decade, BridgePoint Systems has delivered solutions to help security managers face an ever-changing landscape of threats and challenges. Located at the edge of Silicon Valley, the company offers innovative technology that embeds public key infrastructure in an agile, user friendly way for assuring identity in physical access systems. Among other pioneering efforts, BridgePoint Systems was the first U.S. company to develop smart card readers for use by the Department of Defense in a physical access system. The company was also first to integrate the Department of Defense’s CAC with biometrics in a real world deployment and first to install an interoperable Personal Identification Verification reader in a government, multi-tenant facility.

Some of the nation’s largest government contractors and security integrators such as the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marines, Army Corps of Engineers, General Services Administration (GSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) use BridgePoint Systems’ technology. All of BridgePoint Systems’ products are securely designed and built in the United States.
“Environmental responsibility is part of our DNA. We’ve made a commitment to invest in sustainable technologies from the start,” said Steve Hagen, director of procurement and engineering at Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market. “Using new natural refrigerants puts Fresh & Easy on the forefront of sustainability our industry and ultimately makes these emerging technologies more cost effective for everyone.”

“The Folsom store is a fantastic example of the innovation that can be accomplished when government works together with businesses in a voluntary partnership to protect the environment and save money at the same time,” said Deborah Jordan, Director of EPA Region 9′s Air Division. “We are proud to be involved in this very successful project.”

Fresh & Easy’s Folsom store features Hill PHOENIX Second Nature(R) medium temperature fixtures and walk-ins running on glycol and low temperature fixtures and walk-ins running on C02. Glycol and C02 are environmentally friendly, natural alternatives to harmful HFC refrigerants.

“Fresh & Easy selected a Second Nature Compact Chiller system that effectively eliminates all HFCs from the store’s refrigeration system by using medium temperature glycol to condense the low temperature CO2. This is typically achieved with an HFC refrigerant,” explained Henry Pellerin, director, marketing programs for Hill PHOENIX. “The Folsom Fresh & Easy is the only store in the nation, to date, that uses this innovative type of system.”

Hill PHOENIX Second Nature Compact Chiller (SNCC) is the most environmentally friendly system available in the industry today. SNCC utilizes a unique heat exchanger technology that allows engineers to design a typical medium temperature supermarket system with the lowest refrigeration charge of any commercial refrigeration system on the market. As a result, retailers like Fresh & Easy can achieve a sustainable zero leak rate. SNCC is comprised of multiple compact chiller modules. Each module is a standalone refrigeration system and is completely factory-assembled, charged and run-tested prior to delivery.

GreenChill’s Store Certification Program is the only certification program in the nation that focuses on greener refrigeration. The Program’s chief goal is to reduce refrigerant emissions from supermarkets that damage the Earth’s protective ozone layer and contribute to global warming. A pound of leaked refrigerant can cause more global warming than 2000-4000 pounds of carbon dioxide.

On average, Fresh & Easy stores use 30 percent less energy than a typical supermarket, which helps the environment and saves customers money. Fresh & Easy uses LED lighting in external signs and freezer cases, offers customer recycling in every store and uses advanced refrigeration and freezer units to cut back on energy usage. The company also recycles or reuses all of its display packaging, sending the majority back through its distribution center.

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. /eNewsChannels/ — Protium Technologies, Inc. has announced today that it is now shipping the P6020, a 20 MHz – 6 GHz digitized tuner, and that the company has signed an agreement with Marlborough Communications Limited (MCL) in Surrey, England, to serve as the distributor in the U.K.

The P6020 is a miniature brick that combines the objectives of small size, light weight, and low power consumption with the high performance possible with the latest RF and SDR techniques. The superior performance of the P6020 is particularly evident in high density, high level signal environments, especially when ultra-fast tuning is required. A continuous digital I&Q output stream is provided over a 1 GHz Ethernet port for bandwidths up to 20 MHz, with a “snapshot mode” of more than one second of storage at 40 MHz bandwidth. The user can program the RF section, AGC parameters, IF bandwidth filters, output modes and other settings via the 100/1000 Ethernet interface. Additionally, a USB port is provided for secure maintenance, firmware upgrades, and network configurations.

In the words of Rick Gawlik, president of Protium Technologies: “The design of the P6020 wideband digitized tuner is the result of extensive interactions with the user community, which provided key specifications for an economical solution. It is a robust unit well suited for tactical and strategic signal collection and monitoring applications that is also available in an international configuration as the P6020i.”

Also today, Protium Technologies announced that MCL has become the U.K. distributor for the company’s products, with particular emphasis on the wideband tuner product line. MCL is a leading-edge solutions provider that meets the signal intercept and processing application needs of military users, system designers, integrators, and the intelligence community.
