MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. /eNewsChannels/ — The U.S. telecommunications industry continues to expand as business spending for wireless services fuels industry revenue growth, says a new market research report from Insight Research. Insight estimates that all U.S. businesses will spend $154 billion for telecommunications services in 2012 and business spending on wired and wireless calling will grow to $184 billion by the close of 2016, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.8 percent over the forecast period.

Insight’s newly released market analysis report, “Telecom Services in Vertical Markets, 2011-2016″ found that business spending for cellular and other wireless services is creating all of the growth. While U.S. business spending for wireline services is essentially flat over the five year forecast horizon, wireless expenditures are expected to grow at a compounded rate of 9.4 percent over the period of 2011-2016.

Four vertical industries – wholesale trade; financial, insurance, and real estate services; professional business services; and communications – account for 68 percent of total business telecom expenditures in 2011. The study analyzes 14 vertical industries categorized by the NAICS, and focuses on corporate spending for wireline and wireless telecommunications services in each of the 14 industries.

“The U.S. telecommunications industry continues to show modest revenue growth, driven by business Internet and mobility solutions,” says Fran Caulfield, Research Director for Insight Research (www.insight-corp.com). “As U.S. business activity recovers, employment and network traffic increase. In parallel, business applications shift to the cloud and end users shift to wireless access, driving higher network and wireless revenues for service providers,” Caulfield concluded.

MANASQUAN, N.J. /eNewsChannels/ -- Peter Grandich, market commentator and editor of the internationally-followed 'Grandich Letter,' posted a strong warning to readers today about the United States' grave financial condition, predicting a dire fiscal picture for our children and grandchildren.

MANASQUAN, N.J. /eNewsChannels/ — Peter Grandich, market commentator and editor of the internationally-followed “Grandich Letter,” posted a strong warning to readers today about the United States’ grave financial condition, predicting a dire fiscal picture for our children and grandchildren.

In the forecast, which coincides with his daughter’s twentieth birthday, Grandich says, “The greatest blessing in my life, my daughter Tara, is 20 years old today. While witnessing her birth through today has brought only joy, during this period I’ve also watched my country spiral downward economically, socially and spiritually. Both sides of the political aisle are responsible, and nowhere is that more true than in the grave financial condition we find ourselves in as a nation.”

He states, “I have no cabins in West Virginia nor dry food to sell…and I can assure you that what I’m about to state is not good for business. My wonderful daughter, and the sons and daughters (and grandchildren, too) of those who read this, are going to pay an enormous price for decades of over indulgences and total mismanagement by government and individuals. Better days for these generations cannot and will not be possible without severe economic and social pain.”

Grandich predicts, “What we have witnessed in Greece and elsewhere is coming to the shores of America…make no mistake about it, the die has been cast and all the political rhetoric and rare actual good political deeds can’t prevent the inevitable.”

He adds, “The fact is America is bankrupt financially (and well on its way to socially, politically and spiritually, if not there already). The saddest point of this fact is virtually all Americans either don’t grasp it or if they do, hope it’s only a bad dream and they shall wake up and all shall be well again. While there have been a few brave politicians who have been willing to tell it like it is and even fewer Wall Street types, the ignorance of the nation is not surprising when you look at how other people in countries now already well into the nightmare also lived in denial.”

He references what he calls “class warfare” that he sees coming to the U.S., which will pit the 55-and-over generation against younger citizens.

He also notes the importance of how we are quickly approaching a time when over 50 percent of all Americans will be working for the government, so making any great sweeping changes will be nearly impossible.

Finally, he tells what he sees as the poster child for America’s addiction to excess: self-storage facilities.

“There’s no quick fix but I can tell you we’ll know we’re finally on the right road to recovery when we see public storage facilities closing versus opening everywhere we go,” Grandich says.

He sums up his calamitous conjecture with the statement, “America’s only real hope is to do what our Founding Fathers did and return Almighty God back to His rightful place as the true leader of this once great country. No other solution is doable.”

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. /eNewsChannels/ — Over the next five years, all of the major U.S. telcos and cable TV MSOs are expected to lose small business customers to a new crop of hosted service providers that will offer PBX-like voice services at lower reoccurring costs and with minimal site equipment expense, according to a new market research study from The Insight Research Corporation.

Insight Research’s market analysis study, “VoIP and the SME: CableCos, Telcos, and the Rise of Hosted Service Models, 2011-2016″ points out that the advent of VoIP PBX business telephone technology and the nearly universal availability of broadband services has enabled a variety of upstart hosted service providers such as 8×8, Aptela, Fonality, and Nextiva to target the small business market.

These emerging companies are providing virtual PBX/VoIP services with enhanced features into the hotly contested lower end of the business segment-and they are doing it in ways that more competitive in terms of functionality, productivity, and pricing than the service bundles being provided by either the telcos or the MSOs.

“There are more than forty million lines in the small business segment of the market now up for grabs, so we are not talking about chump change,” says Robert Rosenberg, Insight Research president. “Our study suggests that thus far, small businesses haven’t quite latched on to this new technology so the revenue today is only in the range of one-half billion dollars, but by 2015 hosted services will be nearly a $1.2 billion market and the adoption rate of the hosted services by small businesses will continue increasing at a faster rate,” Rosenberg concluded.

“VoIP and the SME: CableCos, Telcos, and the Rise of Hosted Service Models, 2011-2016″ segments adoption by 20 vertical industries and provides revenue estimates for each. Potential small business line losses are estimated for telcos AT&T, CenturyLink, Cincinnati Bell, Fairpoint, Frontier, TDS, Verizon, and Windstream as well as for MSOs Bright House, CableOne, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Mediacom, SuddenLink, Time Warner, and WOW Telecom.

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J., March 26, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Today LTC Guild, the social network for the long-term care insurance industry, announces its support of a straw poll asking people to say which presidential candidate they think more likely to back federal incentives for owning long-term care insurance.

The poll, available at http://ltcguild.ning.com/page/election-poll, simply asks, “Which candidate, Barack Obama or the Republican choice, is more likely to promote new federal incentives to help Americans afford private long-term care insurance?”

Originated by LTC Financial Partners, a national long-term care insurance agency, the poll can now be accessed through the LTC Guild website.

Why the poll? “It’s not just to take the pulse of the public,” says Dick Samson, director of the LTC Guild. “We want to influence the candidates. When President Obama and the Republican choice see the poll results, they could start taking the LTC issue more seriously.”

The majority of senior Americans lack long-term care insurance, Samson points out. “As part of the Affordable Care Act, there was going to be a public option for LTC insurance, but that’s been shelved. Now private insurance is the only LTC insurance option, but millions shrink from the cost. “New tax breaks could change that, “but the candidates aren’t talking about it.”

Millions of senior voters could tip the election one way or the other, Samson asserts. “They and their families deserve to know where the candidates stand.”

Poll results to date will be visible after participants vote, at http://ltcguild.ning.com/page/election-poll.

The LTC Guild is a social network described as “the place where long-term care and allied pros meet one another and the public, form local chapters, schedule meetings, and share information.” It is managed by EraNova Institute of Mountain Lakes, N.J. Samson is director of that organization, too.

We feel that our partnership with Lightway is a critical component of our growth strategy as we evolve into a new era of the solar industry.”

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. /eNewsChannels/ — The global market for operations support systems (OSS) – the computing and software IT infrastructure that performs engineering, provisioning, and management functions in telecommunications networks – will exceed $67 billion in 2016, according to a new report by Insight Research. Telecommunications industry spending for OSS is expected to mirror the forecasted growth in service revenue over the next five years, indicating that the industry is expecting sustainable growth in the years ahead.

According to “Operations Support Systems, 2011-2016,” telecommunications network operators worldwide are forecasted to increase their investment in OSS at a compounded rate of 5.9 over the next five years. North American investment in the computing and software systems used to acquire, serve, and bill customers will lag worldwide investment, growing at a compounded rate of 4.6 percent over the same period, while OSS expenditures made by carriers in the Asia, Europe, and Latin America regions will grow at 6.3 percent.

The report found that telecommunications service providers are investing most heavily in those OSS needed to support wireless 3G and 4G services. Over the forecast period, annual OSS spending to support broadband wireless will increase from $3 billion today to $22 billion in 2016.

“Telecommunications providers will continue to invest in systems that streamline their operations – particularly in growth areas such as customer care and network engineering for wireless services,” says Insight director Fran Caulfield. “Our research confirms continued strong growth for both wireless services and the operations systems that support the proliferation of smartphones, tablets, and mobility applications,” concluded Caulfield.

“Operations Support Systems, 2011-2016″ forecasts global IT infrastructure spending for billing, customer care, planning/engineering, provisioning/inventory, trouble repair, network management, business management, and workforce management systems. It also projects the professional services expenditures required to implement those systems by type of carrier in four regions: North America; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Asia/Pacific; and Latin America/Caribbean.

The new line, available in pet specialty stores this spring, makes treats last longer while keeping dogs entertained and promoting safe, healthy chewing. T.F.H./Nylabone is a subsidiary of Central Garden & Pet Company (NASDAQ:CENT).

“Pet parents have made it clear that they want quality, value and safety in their dogs’ play products,” says Mike Connelly, Vice President of Marketing for Nylabone(R) Products based in Neptune City, N.J. “The new Romp’n Chomp(TM) Treat Toys are essentially toys which offer unlimited play value, and can also be filled with our natural, made-in-the-USA treats. The marriage of treat and toy helps to extend the value and life of the treats over a longer period of time.”

He adds that filling the durable and long-lasting toys with treats or kibble allows pet parents to use the toys as rewards for training and behavior reinforcement. Furthermore, healthy chewing helps keeps a dog’s teeth in tip-top shape.

Treat Toys Varieties:

The new Freezer Bone features a snap-in Nylabone treat shaped like Nylabone’s classic Souper. Great for teething puppies as well as dogs of all sizes, the bone has fill n’ freeze corners for added fun. Available in two sizes and made in the USA, it encourages appropriate chewing and its ridges help to clean teeth.

The fun and inventive Shish-Ka-Bone is an interchangeable treat holder with chicken flavored nylon ends and nylon center. It features chew disks that slide on to the middle of the toy for added chewing fun. Dogs can’t get the toys apart thanks to the safety lock mechanism that holds the chew disks in place. Providing longer-lasting fun and chewing for powerful chewers, this innovative toy has textured nubs for added dental benefits. It is available in two sizes to suite all size dogs, and replacement disks are available.

The Souper Treat Toy is made to look like Nylabone’s popular Souper, but features a snap-in treat bar. Designed with power-chewers in mind, this new made-in-the-USA treat toy satisfies a dog’s natural chewing instincts.

It spins, it wobbles, it helps clean teeth and massage gums: it’s the rubber Triple Treat Toy! Featuring snap-in Nylabone exclusive treats shaped like the popular Nylabone Souper, this ingenious three-armed toy will keep dogs occupied longer! Made in the USA, it encourages independent play and helps promote good dental health.

What says dog more than fetching a stick? Dogs love retrieving and chewing on sticks, so Nylabone created the rubber Hollow Stick Treat Toy. Like a stick found outside, it’s an easy shape for dogs to grasp, and it provides hours of interactive play and retrieval. This stick, however, has a hollow core that can be filled with a Nylabone Treat Bar. And, like other Nylabone products, chewing on this stick will massage gums and help clean teeth.

The rubber Treat Ball is a versatile toy that’s great for toss-and-play fun. It has shape pockets that can be filled with peanut butter and interior spaces for a variety of Nylabone treats like the Treat Bars, Healthy Edible Chews, or Treat Bits.

Finally, the rubber Wobbler Treat Toy is sure to please all dogs! Fill the center with Nylabone Treat Bars or Healthy Edible Chews. Or, smear the hollows with peanut butter and freeze it for longer-lasting play. With a weighted-bottom, the toy wobbles and is easy to grip yet its space-capsule shape makes for erratic bouncing fun. This is one treat toy that is sure to please!

The new Nylabone(R) Romp’n Chomp(TM) Treat Toys and refill treats, disks, bars and treat bits will be available in pet specialty stores this spring, with suggested retail prices ranging from $4.09 to $30.99.

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. /eNewsChannels/ — The $39 billion US private line services market is expected to show modest 2.3 percent annual growth over the next five years, as demand for higher bandwidth private lines offsets the shift of lower bandwidth private lines to packet-based services, says a market analysis study from Insight Research.

Private lines are leased point-to-point circuits, which are used for a variety of applications including connecting enterprise locations and backhauling cell towers to mobile switching centers. The new study, “Private Line and Wavelength Services, 2011-2016,” provides an in-depth analysis of the US market, including a study of the transition from frame relay/ATM networking to IP networks and the uplift driven by new video and data applications. Private line revenues will increasingly be driven by data-based cloud computing and the demand for apps.

“The insatiable demand for data has kept the private line market relatively steady over the past five years and we expect this trend to continue,” says Insight Research Director Fran Caulfield. “The need to backhaul data-intensive 4G wireless services and increased local bandwidth for wireline data and video services will sustain the private line segment for the foreseeable future,” Caulfield concluded.

“Private Line and Wavelength Services, 2011-2016″ evaluates the total private line market and segments it by local and long distance private line service revenue, wholesale and retail private line revenue, revenue by type of carrier, revenue by T1, T3 or OC-n circuit class, as well as the number of T1, T3, and OC-n private lines sold. Estimates of wavelength revenues are also provided.
