Brown Jr. today announced the following appointments: First, Shawn Bagley, 61, of Salinas, has been appointed to the 7th District Agricultural Association, Monterey County Fair Board. Bagley has been a founding partner and vice president at Complete Produce Inc. since 2002.
Bagley was assistant general manager at Sysco Food Service from 2000 to 2002, vice president at Produce America from 1995 to 2000, produce broker at Produce America from 1987 to 1995 and director of marketing at Well-Pict Berries from 1983 to 1987. Bagley is a Jaycee International Senator and an elected member of the Democratic National Committee. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Ricky Cabrera, 46, of Salinas, has been appointed to the 7th District Agricultural Association, Monterey County Fair Board. Cabrera has been president of Cabrera Contracting Inc. since 1988. He is president of the Salinas Alisal Rotary Club and the Mexican Heritage Expo. Cabrera is a volunteer for the California Rodeo Salinas and Monterey County Reads. He is a member of the National Steinbeck Center Board of Trustees, Salinas Valley Leadership Group Board of Trustees and the Monterey County Farm Bureau.
