DANVERS, Mass. — LineSider Technologies, a leading provider of software and systems for next-generation IP business communications, today announced the appointment of two experienced telecommunications technology executives, Pano Anthos and Dale Booth, to its board of directors. “We are thrilled to welcome Pano and Dale to our board of directors,” said Harley Stowell, LineSider’s CEO. “With their unique skills and extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, they are a valuable asset to LineSider.”
Anthos has spent more than 22 years in the technology industry, during which time he founded, launched and led the strategic growth of three tech companies: ClearCross (previously Syntra), EcoNovo and Pantero Corp. Most of his time has been spent in telecom, developing Web services, application solutions, and middleware in the supply chain and OSS/BSS segments. Anthos conceptualized and sold one of the first commercially available applications architected as a Web service, which were piloted and have been implemented in production by Oracle since 1999.
“Managed service providers (MSP) and enterprise IT managers have long been frustrated by the challenges of setting up and maintaining their IP network services,” said Anthos. “LineSider has developed an innovative approach that eases the life of an IT manager and supports a viable MSP business model. I look forward to working with LineSider and championing advancements that continue to simplify network management.”
Booth has more than 25 years of technology and telecommunications industry expertise. During this time he has cultivated strong business relationships with some of the industry’s largest service providers and equipment vendors, including Sprint, MCI, Verizon, SBC, Nortel and Cisco. Most recently, he served as the president and CEO of NextiraOne, a $650 million privately held enterprise communications solutions provider. NextiraOne is a leading provider of converged communication solutions with 13,000 customers in three countries. Prior to NextiraOne, Booth was CEO of Daisytek International, a $2 billion global IT supplies distributor. He also served as chairman and CEO of Enginex Networks, a professional services firm in the telecommunications and networking technology industry. Prior to Enginex Networks, Booth was a division president with Fujitsu Network Communications a $3 billion manufacturer of high-density transmission and switching products used in the network service provider market.
“LineSider has developed a unique policy-based communications software application that allows companies to quickly set-up and manage complex IP based services,” said Booth. “The LineSider technology solves a very large problem for businesses and carriers alike… the control and management of services on the network edge. The ability to derive network configuration data from the applications layer down is truly remarkable and sets it apart from competing solutions.”
