Walk a Mile For a Child (WAMFAC) Announces New Partnership with Rutgers University-Newark
ELIZABETH, N.J. -- WAMFAC, a Jericho Road Ministries project, announced that Rutgers University-Newark, Office of Campus and Community Relations (OCCR), has joined the ranks of its impressive partners. Jericho Road Ministries and a diverse group of religious, nonprofit organizations, schools and municipalities throughout the state of New Jersey, are coordinating a multi-city, one-mile walk on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.
Million Dog Search Campaign Helps Vets, Dog Owners, and Pets of Life Foundation
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Millions of dogs suffer from canine arthritis and their owners often have no idea their beloved pets are in such pain. A new initiative spearheaded by Novartis Animal Health US, Inc. and Hill's Pet Nutrition will combat that disconnect with a goal of screening one million dogs for canine arthritis. The two companies teamed up to launch the 'Million Dog Search,' a nationwide awareness campaign that will also raise thousands of dollars for animal charities, including Paws of Life.
Dr. Jim Garlow to Chair Renewing American Leadership (ReAL)
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich today named Dr. Jim Garlow as Chairman of Renewing American Leadership (ReAL), the non-profit organization Gingrich created. Dr. Garlow is an author, communicator, commentator, historian, and cultural observer. For the last 14 years, he has served as Senior Pastor of Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, Calif., and will continue to do so.
