HBCU Green Fund to Expand STEM and Energy Training, Mentorship, and Internship Opportunities for Atlanta Students
eNewsChannels NEWS: -- The HBCU Green Fund recently announced a partnership with the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) that increases their capacity to train, mentor and identify internships in energy and STEM industries for students at the Atlanta University Center (AUC). A Department of Energy grant to RICE provides resources for the AUC Energy Project, including a fellowship program exposing students from various majors to emerging opportunities in renewable energy and sustainability.

Coalition of Voting Rights Activists Will Deliver Petition to Stop Lincoln County GA from Eliminating All But One Polling Place

Jan. 19, 2022 on whether to close all polling places except one. A coalition of voting rights activists will present a petition to the board at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 19, and a press conference will follow. The petition drive was coordinated by the Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda (The Peoples Agenda) among others.
