ELY, Minn. -- The Ely Winter Festival board has announced the dates of the 17th annual Festival to be February 3 - 13, 2011. The 10-day Festival will include events for the whole family, outdoors enthusiasts, art lovers, and even those who think that they don't enjoy winter weather.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The New York State Right to Life Committee held its annual Lobby for Life Day yesterday, April 27th, in the well of the Legislative Office Building in Albany. About 200 people attended the event, which focused on the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, a bill currently pending in the state legislature that provides that those who kill or injure an unborn child during a crime of violence against a pregnant woman may be held criminally responsible.
