Wind Power in 2012 Electricity Mix increased by The Energy Cooperative
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. /eNewsChannels/ -- The Energy Cooperative, an electric generation supplier (EGS) since 1998, has announced that it is increasing the amount of Pennsylvania wind power in their 2012 electricity mix. The new renewable energy mix contains 99 percent PA wind power, of which 25 percent wind is sourced from the newly developed Highland Wind farm in Cambria County, PA.
The Energy Cooperative delivers 10 millionth gallon of biodiesel blended fuel
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. /eNewsChannels/ -- The Energy Cooperative, a member-owned nonprofit, announced today the delivery of their 10 millionth gallon of biodiesel blended fuel. The delivery went to Krapf Bus Companies, a local private bus contractor for school districts. These 10 million gallons of biodiesel blends have resulted in the use of nearly 1.5 million gallons of domestically-produced fuel.
