WASHINGTON, D.C. /eNewsChannels/ — The Department of State has approved $250,000 in anti-crime funds for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Global Program on Cybercrime in Africa. This first-of-its-kind funding is a reflection of efforts of the United States to combat transnational crime and cybercrime worldwide.
These funds are designated for criminal enforcement training and technical assistance for judges and prosecutors of East African nations in consultation with the United States Department of Justice Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section.
