More than 75 percent of U.S. real estate transactions are now conducted in a county that e-records with Simplifile, enabling faster and more cost-effective transactions between land record submitters and county recorders.
Gulf County, Florida, is the 1500th county to join Simplifile’s e-recording network, the nation’s largest. “We decided to start e-recording to fulfill a request from our document filers, who wanted more options,” said Becky Norris, Gulf County Clerk of the Circuit Court. “Our customers enjoy the ease of filing from the home or office, and we’ve already found that e-recording minimizes or even eliminates wait times while reducing the time we spend handling and mailing paper documents.”
