Glassford has served in the U.S. Army since 1999, including three tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq with extensive leadership and risk management/safety training. He currently serves on the U.S. Army Reserve’s Regional Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer Team for FEMA Region IV, where he coordinates Department of Defense military assistance to other federal agencies, state governments and civilian authorities during large-scale disaster response operations.

Glassford is a Senior Client Executive in our Birmingham, Alabama office; he brings his legal and risk management proficiency to EPIC’s national platform.

Prior to joining EPIC, Glassford was a commercial litigator with Birmingham-based law firm Balch & Bingham who he represented clients throughout the country, ranging from private equity investors and public utilities to product manufacturers and insurance companies, in commercial litigation involving contract disputes, insurance coverage issues, business torts and unfair competition, financial services, products liability, intellectual property and trade secrets, class actions, and health care issues.
He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, where was on the President’s List and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law. He also received ratings of “exceeded course standards” and graduated in the top 20% of every U.S. Army leadership course he attended: Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course.
Glassford is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association. He is also a proud supporter of Alabama Veteran, a non-profit founded and operated by veterans to help each other reintegrate into civilian society, engage their communities, and improve themselves professionally and personally.
