SACRAMENTO, Calif. /California Newswire/ — Speaker John A. Pérez (D- Los Angeles) today named Assistant Speaker pro Tempore Isadore Hall, III (D – Los Angeles) Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization.
The Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization’s primary policy jurisdictions are public records, open meetings laws, natural disasters, tribal and non-tribal gaming, alcohol, tobacco products and horseracing.
Assemblymember Hall has served on the Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization since he began serving in the California State Assembly in December, 2008. Hall succeeds Assemblymember Joe Coto (D- San Jose) as Chairman, who is termed out of office at the end of this year.
