LOS ANGELES /California Newswire/ — Assistant Speaker pro Tempore Isadore Hall, III (D – Compton) has been honored as the 2010 Legislator of the Year by the California State Sheriff’s Association (CSSA). Assemblymember Hall, who currently serves as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, is being honored for his continued leadership and commitment to improve public safety in California; particularly through legislative policies that support law enforcement efforts to reduce crime throughout the state.

“My friend, Assemblymember Hall, in his short time in the Legislature, has been so responsive to the needs of public safety he truly deserves this outstanding recognition and the appreciation of all Californians,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca.

The CSSA is a nonprofit professional organization comprised of California’s 58 county sheriffs along with thousands of citizens throughout the state. The association was formed in 1894 for the purpose of giving California sheriffs a single effective voice.
