DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. — Resource Development Counsel, a fundraising leadership consultant company established in 1996, has announced a special low-cost program for nonprofits, the Jump Start Intensive, designed to create income and cost-saving action planning for organizations feeling the current economic squeeze. Jump Start offers intensive workshops for boards of directors and staff, addressing an organization’s economic and leadership challenges, geared to specific and practical outcomes. Resource Development Counsel partners Robert Miss and Gae Savino will make this program available at a minimal cost between Labor Day and Thanksgiving 2008.

“Our firm has been providing fundraising and leadership development services to nonprofits for more than 12 years. The nonprofit community has been good to us. We want to give back when it needs us most,” stated Robert Miss.

“Translated into practical terms, we will help nonprofits, particularly the small ones, at a cost they can afford,” said Gae Savino.

“It’s on the honor system. They tell us what they can afford. We will help them,” Miss added.

Robert Miss holds a masters degree in communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a certificate in philanthropy and fundraising from New York University.

Gae Savino, former president of the National Society of Fundraising Executives, New Jersey Chapter, holds a master’s degree in public administration from Seton Hall University and is a certified fundraising executive. The partners have a combined experience of more than 70 years in philanthropy.
