A panel of six judges, consisting of past award recipients, recognized Elkeles as the 2010 CLO of the Year for her work in building the Qualcomm Learning Center into a source of innovation and development for the wireless technology company’s 16,000 employees worldwide.
Tamar Elkeles has been profiled and recognized widely as an energetic and influential leader. She has been recognized as one of San Diego’s “Top Influentials” in the San Diego Daily Transcript and one of the “Fast50 Champions of Innovation” by Fast Company magazine.
Under Elkeles’ vision and leadership, Qualcomm’s Learning Center was created to provide technical training opportunities as well as leadership development to grow the capabilities and knowledge of employees worldwide in a rapidly growing and changing high-technology era. Qualcomm has also been recognized consistently in the Training Top 100 through Tamar’s leadership, including recognition as a “Best in Class” for telecommunications.
