HOUSTON, Texas /eNewsChannels/ — Active Empty Nesters, a website aimed directly at helping baby-boomers lead an active and productive life, is proud to announce the appointment of Patti Stevens-Lovell as the new Director of Member Services for our rapidly expanding social networking website.

As the latest addition to Active Empty Nesters, she will help grow the membership base, oversee new and relevant content, generate new commercial membership programs and help shape the future development of the website by using feedback from members to create new website functionality.
“I am thrilled to be a part of Active Empty Nesters,” explained Stevens-Lovell, who has worked with such companies as Oracle Corporation and Unisys “I, too, am a baby boomer and it is exciting that there is now a site that has been developed specifically for the over-fifty crowd and provides content and interest/activity opportunities that are relevant.”
ActiveEmptyNesters.com has seen a huge growth in popularity with baby boomers since opening in April. Ms. Stevens-Lovell will be responsible for managing the continued expansion and membership activities on a national level from her Houston, Texas location. She will also act as the website’s Texas coordinator and will be the website’s main representative and liaison for all of our current and future Texas based members. “I totally get our founder’s vision of the Active Empty Nesters site being one of not only social interaction but also of connecting with others of like interests and activities,” Ms. Stevens-Lovell explained. “It is medically proven that we live longer and happier as long as we are active – whether it is physically or mentally. This site provides both in a non-obtrusive and safe environment.”
Membership to the site is completely free and, once registered, members can begin setting up their personal profile, inviting friends to events, and communicating with old and new friends alike, through the site’s built in social-networking features. There is a “group” feature that allows member to join interest and activity groups that appeal to them. As an added benefit, a section called the Activity Marketplace provides members with daily discounts on products and activities. Members can find greatly reduced prices on activities like bowling, skiing, book clubs and many other categories that will inspire and challenge Empty Nesters to get out and explore an active and meaningful lifestyle.
“Patti brings a technical understanding to the team that allows her to communicate with our developers,” said Ronald Mercier, founder of the baby boomer and senior website. “She is a baby boomer herself with an outgoing personality that has made her successful in her past professions. She is quick to adjust to market needs and will be an advocate for our members.”
