luxury RV rentalFORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. /eNewsChannels/ — According to Allstar Coaches, the RV rental industry is poised to have its best year ever; thanks in part to the highest air fares seen in more than three decades. The airline industry’s seemingly relentless commitment to create innovative new ways to bilk consumers is finally driving them away. With no end in sight, even with fuel prices steadily declining, the cost of air travel continues to rise, reaching levels that travelers haven’t seen since Congress was forced to step in with the Airline Deregulation Act in 1978.

RV rental companies such as Florida based Allstar Coaches, appear to be the largest beneficiaries of airline industry’s antics and are reaping the rewards. Allstar, who specializes in luxury motorhome rentals, is reporting their highest volume since opening in 2006.

“For years airlines have been taking more and doing less. The public has had enough and is finally pushing back,” said Rob Tischler, CEO of Allstar. “Now that the levy has broken, we are here to help pick up the pieces,” he adds. Now, to add just a bit more salt to an already gaping wound, the TSA along with several major airlines have proposed to double the mandatory security fee on every ticket sold.

Doreen Santos, a registered nurse who resides in Allentown, Pa. with her husband and three boys, was shocked when she learned that airfare to Orlando that usually cost her about $200 per person was now going for more than $500. Determined not to give up their vacation, the family decided to rent an RV and make the journey to Florida part of their adventure.

“We’ve gone to Disney every year since the kids were born. I couldn’t even imagine having to tell them we couldn’t go this year,” said Santos. “My kids were ecstatic when they found out we were taking an RV. When all was said and done, without the hotels and airfare, we saved about $2700.”

Families looking to head out on the highways in an RV can save money at virtually every turn. Without the added burden of overpriced hotels and airfares, there isn’t a need for rental cars or expensive restaurants. Allstar’s rental units are equipped with full functional kitchens, spacious, comfortable cabins and come outfitted with everything one would expect to find in a luxury vacation rental. “Ours just happen to have a couple sets of wheels attached,” said Von Isanogle, Allstar’s fleet manager.

With the exorbitant price of airfares and nickel and dime fees airlines charge for baggage, seating and food, it’s no wonder travelers are looking for alternatives. RVing is one that offers travelers the comforts of home and the convenience of traveling on their own time.
