NEW YORK, N.Y. — In a never ending quest to simplify online hotel reservations, Hotel Magician, a New York-based online travel reservations website, has launched a new hotel searching method on its website HotelMagician.com.

With its new Interactive Hotel Maps feature, HotelMagician.com now allows users to enter an address, a city, or an airport code and see all hotels nearby right on the map. They can search anywhere from 1 to 100 miles from the search point and can then use their mouse to move around the map.

Hotel Magician’s Dave Grossman said, “This technology is perfect for the traveler who wants to be in a certain geographic area and can’t tell where a hotel is just by looking at the address. If they want to be near the beach, they should be able to look at the beach using satellite map technology and see all the hotels that are really beachfront. Our customers will never worry that the hotel they chose is not really as close to the beach as they thought because they can see exactly where it is.”

HotelMagician“It’s also perfect for business travelers,” Grossman continued. “If they have a convention but can’t book into the preferred convention center hotel, a search of the convention center’s address will quickly show them other nearby options. Similarly, if visiting a client, this is a quick way to pick the nearest hotel.”

Once users click a spot on the map indicating a hotel, they can see the address, current low rates, and click a link to read more information on the hotel and check availability or make a reservation. Users can also narrow the search to a particular hotel brand or chain – recognizing that various hotel loyalty programs have users only looking for a particular hotel brand, such as Hilton Hotels or Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

As a shortcut, users can also access the maps using the URL or by bookmarking http://HotelMagician.com/interactive_hotel_maps/ .

Hotel Magician currently offers information and reservations for more than 80,000 hotels worldwide as well as vacation packages, airline tickets, car rentals, destination guides, and weekly travel deals.

Hilton Hotels and Starwood Hotels and Resorts are registered trademarks of their respective owners.
