SANTA CLARA, Calif. — SecuGen is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the SecuGen SDK Collection, Release 11. This new release adds Software Developer Kits that reflect SecuGen’s commitment to continuing its efforts to provide Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners with the broadest platform support in the biometrics industry. The Pro series of SDKs use SecuGen’s NIST MINEX tested and approved template extraction and matching algorithms and are intended for the development of FIPS 201/PIV compliant software applications.

Release 11 contains important new additions to the ever-growing SecuGen SDK Collection:
– New SDKs for Hamster Plus on Linux and on both x86 and SPARC based Solaris 10
– New SecuBSP SDK Pro for Windows
– New BioAPI BSP Pro SDK
– New support for the ISO/IEC 19794-2:2005 international biometric standard in the updated FDx SDK Pro for Windows
– New support for the ISO/IEC 19794-4:2005 international biometric standard in the new SecuGen ISO Image SDK for Windows

In conjunction with SecuGen’s FBI certified Hamster IV fingerprint reader, ISV partners have access to a full complement of components required to build world class, high quality and reasonably priced FIPS 201/PIV biometric systems.

“With Release 11 of the SDK Collection, we continue to expand platform support for our highly sought after extraction and matching algorithms,” said Dan Riley, VP of Engineering for SecuGen. “Our goal is and has always been to provide our partners with the tools they need to win business opportunities around the world.”

Won Lee, CEO of SecuGen added, “Our focus has always been on providing world class fingerprint technology, including development tools, to allow our partners to build state of the art biometric systems. Because our reseller partners are central to SecuGen’s marketing strategy, we are very pleased to extend their reach with the new platform support in the SecuGen SDK Collection, Release 11.”
