COSTA MESA, Calif. — Costa Mesa-based BandCon, the leading peering network provider for large content sites, today announced that Todd Braning has joined the company as Vice President of Peering and Backbone operations. Braning is responsible for the company’s peering and backbone services and operations.

Braning joins BandCon from global communications firm Level (3) Communications (Nasdaq: LVLT), where he was Director of Peering. Under his leadership, his unit guided Level (3) to a 100% settlement free peering. Earlier at Level (3), Braning served for five years on the backbone deployment team, during which time he participated in the roll out of their global backbone.
