(SANTA CLARA, Calif.) — NEWS: SecuGen, a world leading optical fingerprint device and technology vendor, is pleased to be featuring the newly-released Hamster Pro(TM) 10, an FBI certified and ultra-compact fingerprint reader, and the U10 sensor at the Connect:ID Exhibition.

The Hamster Pro 10 is a sleek, small and high-quality fingerprint reader priced for large scale deployments. The U10 sensor that is inside of the Hamster Pro 10 is just under 13 mm in thickness and can be easily embedded in nearly any type of hardware device, such as ATMs, access control devices, laptops, handhelds, industrial equipment and many other types of products.

SecuGen’s new U10 sensor and Hamster Pro 10 fingerprint reader are compatible with SecuGen’s free SDKs for Windows, Linux, and Android. The Hamster Pro 10 also works with Windows Hello right out of the box for convenient fingerprint login to Windows 10 computers.

Jeff Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing for SecuGen stated, “We are very excited to release this new product. The Hamster Pro 10 is not only a high quality FAP 10 device but is very attractive in its slim, white case. The U10 sensor is small enough to be embedded in a wide array of devices. Our customers, particularly our OEM customers, have been asking us for a smaller sensor. Our team really came through this time.”

Dan Riley, VP of Engineering added, “Our engineering team did a fantastic job with this new sensor and fingerprint reader. They managed to design an optical sensor that may be the smallest in the industry. This was accomplished without sacrificing quality which was no small feat. We are very proud of the result.”

“We continue to expand our product line in response to the wishes of our partners,” stated Won Lee, CEO of SecuGen. “Our focus is, and has always been, to design and deliver products that can help our partners succeed in the marketplace. No doubt the Hamster Pro 10 and U10 continue this focus.”

The Hamster Pro 10 and U10 sensor will be on display in SecuGen’s booth # 419 at the Connect:ID exhibition held at the Washington Convention Center from May 1st to May 2nd in Washington, D.C.
