Anti-agingROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. /eNewsChannels/ — The Waller Wellness Center, one of the largest Natural Medicine centers in Michigan, commemorated the opening of its new office at 1854 W. Auburn Road in Rochester Hills on July 9 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Mayor Bryan Barnett helped cut the ribbon and other local dignitaries joined the celebration. The Waller Wellness Center, which offers patients a more holistic approach to medicine, is the culmination of a life-long dream for its Medical Director, Catherine A. Waller MD.

Dr. Waller opened her Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine practice in 2007 as the Rochester Center for Healthy Living at 725 Barclay Circle. After five years of steady growth, they outgrew their original quarters. Today, with a new name and space, the Waller Wellness Center offers a welcoming and elegant environment, highly advanced diagnosis and science-based natural treatments for patients suffering from illness and pain or seeking better health and vitality as they age.

The new Center was designed by Davis & Davis of Farmington Hills, who prides itself on creating spaces that reflect a business’s individual identity. The Davis & Davis team took its inspiration from Dr. Waller’s love of the Great Lakes shoreline and designed a spa-like reception area, complete with a 10-foot glass “water wall” that fronts a wall of stacked stones. In addition to examination rooms, the Center boasts a comfortable 1,200 square foot Intravenous Nutrition and Chelation Suite where three Registered Nurses provide a potent treatment option for patients suffering from difficult conditions that are often unresponsive to more traditional treatments. Here, infusions of vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and B vitamins significantly improve the lives of patients with Chronic Fatigue, Heavy Metal Toxicity, Cancer, Chronic Infections, Autoimmune and Vascular Diseases.

The Center recently added Mary Wilson ANP-BC to its staff to help treat the growing number of local residents turning to its natural, science-based approach to medicine. A certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Wilson is specially trained in Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine. She works in conjunction with Dr. Waller to provide services to new and existing patients and has allowed the Center, which previously had a 4-month waiting list, to begin seeing new patients again with minimal wait times. The Waller Wellness staff also includes two Registered Dieticians and a Clinical Psychologist who provide coaching and support for the lifestyle modifications often prescribed to achieve optimal health.

In addition to Mayor Barnett, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony guests included Matthew Gibb, the Deputy County Executive for Oakland County, Patrick Mulrenin and Maggie Bobitz, representing the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, and many local business owners. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive, presented the Center with a commemorative plaque and the Rochester Chamber presented a “First Dollar” Certificate. Guests enjoyed refreshments at a wine and cheese reception held immediately after the ceremony.

Local residents who were not able to attend the July 9th event are invited to an Open House on September 15, 2012, where they will be given tours of the facilities and have the opportunity to learn about Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine from Dr. Waller and her staff.
