DALLAS, Texas — Techway Services, Inc., a leading provider of electronic data destruction services and computer recycling solutions, today introduced its new channel partner program for value-added resellers (VARs) and independent service providers (SPs). The new program will enable channel partners to share revenue at various tiers when Techway Services End-of-Life (EOL) technology solutions are used. In particular, channel partners will capitalize on the growing demand for onsite hard-drive data destruction services.

Techway Services’ onsite hard-drive data destruction service is made possible by the development of EBAN (Enterprise Boot & Nuke) — a sophisticated hard-drive overwriting utility — which runs on a mobile data destruction appliance called the TSI-X1000. The appliance can destroy data on dozens of hard-drives simultaneously, making onsite data destruction efficient and cost effective. EBAN meets Department of Defense standards for data destruction and will automatically record hard-drive serial numbers to assist clients with Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA compliance. EBAN was developed for Techway Services by the Toronto based software engineer Darik Horn, the developer of the highly popular and effective DBAN (Darik’s Boot & Nuke) data destruction software.

The Techway Services channel partner program will help VARs sell onsite hard-drive data destruction and computer recycling services to existing and future clients. Onsite service will be performed by SPs trained and certified to use the data destruction appliance. In many instances, Techway Services expects VARs will also train internal staff to be SPs. However, small SPs are encouraged to apply for the channel program since many larger VARs will choose to sell services rather than provide them.

Techway has been researching, testing and refining the program for over a year with excellent results and strong support from involved VARs and VAR clients. Based on this, a major OEM has recently contracted to sell services setting up the need for additional SPs to support nation-wide demand.

“The Channel plays a critical role in our overall business strategy,” says Rick Lewis, VP of Business Development. “Building our network of partners to include VARs and SPs gives us an excellent opportunity to expand our revenue stream and ensure that more mid-size and enterprise-class clients have access to state-of-the-art EOL services. Supporting these channel relationships is the key to our future success.”
