DENVER, Colo. /eNewsChannels/ — NEWS: Denver-based Dialysis Scholarship Fund (DSF) will hold its 5th-year anniversary celebration at a “Vegas Night” fundraising gala on May 31, 2015, at Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro in Greenwood Village, Colorado. DSF, a 501(c)(3) public charity, was founded by John “JT” Turek, a former dialysis patient and kidney transplant recipient, to provide tuition aid assistance to dialysis patients waiting for kidney transplants.
DSF was founded on the principle that dialysis patients, who typically spend 12+ hours a week undergoing dialysis, could utilize treatment time to take on-line educational courses – to, in effect, “make down time, up time(TM).”
“I am thrilled we have been able to help as many worthy dialysis patients as we have over the years,” stated JT. “Our goal is to help the many more well-qualified and self-motivated applicants who need financial assistance in order to pursue their higher education aspirations.”
Vegas Night is one of DSFs’ major annual fund raising events. Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro restaurant in Greenwood Village, Colorado, is proud to host the event which allows patrons to enjoy great food and drink, the excitement of “play money” real casino-like gambling, the opportunity to win great door prizes and support a very worthy tax-deductible, charitable cause.
