Bull provides psychological and spiritual support to her patients exceeding the norm in the wider medical field.

“Palliative care includes mind, body, and spirit,” Bull says. “I guide or collaborate with the team to enhance the meaning in patients’ lives while affecting the best care.”

Earlier this year, Bull received the Josefina B. Magno Distinguished Physician Hospice Award from AAHPM in recognition of the quality services, innovative programs, and exemplary dedication to the practice of palliative medicine in a hospice setting.

“In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, AAHPM has chosen to recognize 25 hospice and palliative medicine ‘visionaries’ who have greatly influenced the development and expansion of the field,” says Chris Comeaux, president and chief executive officer of Four Seasons.

“Dr. Bull made a significant impact in the field during the past 25 years,” added Comeaux. “We are delighted that her contribution has been recognized by her peers.”

To narrow the field to the final 25 visionaries chosen, more than 100 individuals were nominated by Academy members based on their development and expansion of the field. Individual voters may support up to 10 of these nominees for their significant contribution in the field.
