WHEATON, Ill. — ACSP members Mike Carson (President of Closet Works, Chicago) and Steven Mann, (President of Crowne Closets, Las Vegas) have announced the merger of their businesses. The Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP) bylaws allow for only one member from a company to sit on the board. Since both principals hold offices, Steven Mann has respectfully resigned as President-Elect.

The ACSP has announced Diana Augspurger of Creative Storage, Buffalo New York as President-Elect to replace Steven Mann while Mike Carson will maintain his role as President until March 2008.

The board gratefully acknowledges the contribution Mann has made to the industry during his tenure. At meetings held during the CLOSETS & HOME ORGANIZATION CONFERENCE & EXPO(TM), the association also announced the re-election of board members Jeff Klein (Closet Specialist, Bluffton SC), and Ellyn Gellar-Elstein (Creative Closets, Allentown PA) and election of Tom Barber (Closet Crafters & More, Albany NY).

ACSPThe ACSP, with 280 members, is focused on creating a benchmark for consumers to use when hiring a storage organization company and an accredited work force through certification programs. Using a discussion board format through the internet, the ACSP has provided an unparalleled networking opportunity for storage professionals to seek information and advice on problem solving.

Closets Magazine paired with the ACSP in creating the CLOSETS & HOME ORGANIZATION CONFERENCE & EXPO(TM) which included an educational format, building powerful knowledge in sales development and business administration. The industry specific Expo trade show, which ran concurrently, had attendance of 1625, up 50% from last year’s conference.

The 2008 conference is set for February 27-29 in Palm Beach, FL at the Palm Beach Convention Center.
