Mass Transmit produced PlanetBillard.com tops the Shortlist for International Honor for the Web

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Webby Awards, the leading international honor for the Web, today named Planet Billard (www.planetbillard.com) as the People’s Voice Winner for the Best Personal Website of 2007. Planet Billard is the web site for George Billard, a leading Producer, Director and Cinematographer. The web site is a showcase of Mr. Billard’s video and photography from around the world and includes a Biography, Stock Footage, Dispatches from his world travels and a Video Blog.

The Planet Billard web site was produced by Mass Transmit (www.masstransmit.com), a leading Internet marketing agency based in New York, NY and Charlotte, NC. The web site was developed in Flash and uses Mr. Billard’s amazing photography from around the world throughout the site for visual impact.

Winners will be honored at The 11th Annual Webby Awards in New York City on June 5th. The ceremony will be hosted by comedian and actor Rob Corddry, star of Fox’s new sitcom “The Winner” and a former correspondent for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

Hailed as the “Oscars of the Internet” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video, and Mobile Websites.
